I had a tiny road trip with my mama. We went to the Hermitage, then on to Kenmore for a wee dip in Loch Tay with lovely views of the Crannog, then on to Killin for some soup and finally we drove back via Loch Earn. Every moment was so beautiful and reminded me of the countless weekends and holidays we'd spend in these places many moons ago. It is fair to say that I have lost a little sparkle over the last seven or eight years (is that what growing up is?), but spending time on these magical roads, among ancient trees or submerged in a chilly loch I felt a twinkle return.
