@aya_nameth here again for the last day of my AOA IG takeover.
The end of any adventure is always accompanied with a little sadness. We of course can revisit it through photos and storytelling but it's never quite the same. ⠀
When I met up with some friends after and described the trip, they gave me a look of pure horror. They couldn't understand why anyone would want to spend 3 days in the rain & hail with no shower or cell phone service, then head straight back to a desk to go through the 350 unread emails. When you look at it on paper, it does sound like a little bit of a sufferfest and it's not easy to put into words why we do what we do to someone who doesn't spend time outside... but I think the van ride home says it all. All 9 faces had huge smiles planted on them as we watched the Supes fade in the rearview mirror. Even after Brannon and I said our goodbyes to the guests and joked about which one of us had more emails waiting for us or more chores to do at home...we'd still do it again in a heartbeat, because at the end of the day, it's worth every hour of stressful catch up we had to play. Adventure is always worth it. ⠀
Thanks for following my takeover. Check out today’s stories to see how day 3 went and let us know in the comments below where you'd like our next takeover to be...or which guide you'd like to see host a takeover! ⠀
