Looking through the mists at a small village on the Korean island of Wido. It’s not the best photo (it was a couple generations of digital camera back, and I wasn’t very good either) but I think it just perfectly captures the feel of that day. We had been stranded on the island by the weather, which canceled the ferry back to the mainland, and instead of sheltering inside in the guesthouse (which the delightful little old lady had open just for us) from the miserable weather my cousin and I decided to go out walking. It was raining hard and the wind was bitter and cold on the exposed parts of the island, but in the hollows like this it was soft and misty and perfect. Easily worth coming back soaked and freezing (and the nice lady had even made us a pot of rice when we got back).
