How did i never know about this?
Pasta AND rice together!!! Last night we had delightful new friends for dinner: he is Lebanese, from Beirut, and loves cooking.
He told us about this simple 3-ingredient comfort dish, which i HAD to attempt tonight. ‘Riiz Bi Sh'arieh' is a mix of long grained rice and broken vermicelli pasta cooked together with only butter or olive oil for seasoning.
Seriously easy and combines two carb loves in one. I wonder what the origin of this dish is: I am loving it.
I think you can add onions or stock or saffron for extra flavor, but it’s just my humble opinion
