My eczema has been a killer lately. If you have it, you know how it feels and the frustration of trying to figure out what is triggering it.
Am I eating too much sugar? Dairy? Gluten?
Is my anxiety causing flare-ups?
Is the air too humid? Too dry?
Are my showers too hot?
Do I need to try a different lotion? Should I go back on steroids?
Just from looking at me, most people wouldn't know I have eczema. Thankfully I've never had it on my face, and granted, it has improved over the years through treatment. But I can still feel the unbearable itch and the stinging skin. Some days are good, some are really bad.
But there are positive takeaways from this. It's helped me to learn how to listen to my body and take better care of it. I've also learned a ton about skincare and now it's turned into a nerdy passion of mine! 🐳
