I almost never get in front of a camera, but this one’s special to me. My siblings, who are 10 and 7 years old, took this photo of me while on a tiny excursion we enjoyed together with some cameras.
It seems so simple, but honestly this photo means the world to me. Just one image, while it depicts me doing only one thing, captures a tiny piece of the person I aspire to become as I age and grow—someone who is passionate, dedicated, honest, thoughtful, and loving. My 20th is right around the corner, and with a new decade I hope to bring a new wave of passion, honesty, resilience, and love to my life and to those who have been a part of my journey so far. Bringing that wave entails doing what I love, and I hope that I can use my lens to empower others and tell stories that speak to the needs of my community. I want to make a difference in this world, and I must thank everyone who has supported me in this endeavor so far. I really hope I won’t let any one of you down.
I’m working on tons of projects in 2019. Projects that focus on topics like diversity, inclusivity, destigmatization, social justice, communal identity, and community service. If you’ve any interest in working with me at Villanova, or anywhere else we share a space, please reach out. There are always stories to tell, and anyone who’d like to be apart of my process is always welcome to join and collaborate.
Here’s to what I hope will be another amazing lap for us all. 🌞
