You must understand fear so you can manipulate it. Fear is like fire. You can make it work for you; it can warm you in the winter, cook your food when you’re hungry, give you light when you’re in the dark and produce energy. Let it go out of control and it can hurt you, even kill you…fear is a friend of exceptional people.
Today’s topic is fear, A few months ago you would never catch me doing this weight (225lbs) on the incline bench press. I would avoid doing the incline press due to the fact I did not want to reactivate my shoulder injury. After putting my fear to the side and messing around with it for a couple of months I found my comfort zone. What I’m saying is use your fear to push you further than you have ever gone before. Whether it’s at the gym or life situation in general. My injury has taught me many things when it comes to exercise but controlling my fear has taught me how to overcome many things in my life.
