Curry laksa with chicken and prawns at Panasia in Alhambra, California. Beautifully presented but not as delightful, satisfying, or filling as it looks. Two chunks of fried tofu were added even though they were not mentioned on the menu. I have an unpleasant immune response to soy protein. Therefore, not a happy discovery. Picked them out, deducing that they were additions after the fact rather than boiled in the making of the curry, and began eating. The curry soup had a bit of a tart or bitter taste to it as if it needed a certain something that the cook did not realise what it could be. Adding a bit of lime helped somewhat. The spicy bite wore off halfway through. Only two to three small chunks of chicken and two to three pieces of prawns in the entire dish. Felt a little cheated since these proteins feature prominently in the name and description on the menu. The boiled eggs were curiously singed on the outside like a sunny side up egg. Did not like the texture. Probably won't come here again.
