Keto Pan Seared Salmon with Avocado Tomato Salsa . What Makes the Difference Between People Who Succeed and Fail on the Keto Diet… (Link in the bio 👆) . Recipe, Tomato Salsa Servings: 4 people Calories: 307 kcal Ingredients Salmon: 20 ounces (560 g) skinless salmon filets (each fillet should weigh about 5 ounces or 140 g) Salt and pepper to season 3 tablespoons lemon juice divided 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 5 large cloves garlic finely chopped or minced Salsa: 3 tomatoes, finely chopped 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves, finely chopped 1/2 Serrano chile (or jalapeño), stems, ribs, seeds removed and finely chopped -- adjust to your heat preference 1 small clove garlic, crushed 1 tablespoons lime juice 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 large avocado, sliced Instructions Pat dry room temperature salmon fillets with paper towel. Season all over with salt, pepper. Squeeze 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice over each fillet and rub in the flavour. Heat the olive in a large non-stick pan or skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add salmon fillets, flesh side down, while pressing lightly so the entire surface of the flesh comes into contact with the pan. Sear, undisturbed, for 3-4 minutes until crispy and golden. Flip and sear the other side of each fillet for TWO minutes. Then, add in the butter, chopped garlic and remaining lemon juice. Continue to cook the salmon for a further 1-2 minutes, or until salmon reaches desired doneness, while stirring the butter and garlic around each fillet. (The butter will begin to brown slightly. YUM!) Taste test and season with salt and pepper to your tastes, and add more lemon if desired. While salmon is cooking, combine the salsa ingredients in a bowl (not including avocado). @vegansfoodrecipes Tofu Ricotta Stuffed Pasta with creamy pumpkin sauce by @alexafuelednaturally. Ingredients: 25 uncooked jumbo pasta shells 1 (14 ounce) package of firm tofu 1 cup raw almonds 1/2 tsp salt 4 tbsp nutritional yeast 1/2 tbsp garlic powder 1/2 tbsp onion powder 1/4 tsp pepper 3 cups chopped spinach 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk CREAMY PUMPKIN SAUCE 1 small sugar pie pumpkin 1/4 cup raw cashews 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1/2 cup filtered watered 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/4 cup nutritional yeast 1 1/2 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp garlic powder 1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Cook the pasta according to the package directions, drain and set aside. 3.Cut the pumpkin in half, de-seed and carefully cut skin off. Cut into chunks, place the pumpkin on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25 minutes. RICOTTA: 1. Mean while bring a small pot of water to a boil. Place your raw almonds into the boiling water. Let boil for 2 minutes. 2. Drain the almonds immediately in a colander or strainer and rinse them with cold water to cool them. Blot the almonds dry with a paper towel. 3. Use your fingers to gently squeeze the almonds and loosen the skin from them. Set skinless almonds in a bowl and set aside. 4. Remove tofu from package and wrap in a clean kitchen towel or paper towel and squeeze for 20 seconds to allow for excess water to strain. 5. In a food processor or high speed blender combine tofu, blanched almonds, nutritional yeast, unsweetened almond milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper. Blend for 1-2 minutes or until there is no chunks. Mixture will look lumpy and that is okay! Add more almond milk if needed. 6. In a small pan cook chopped spinach with 1 tbsp on water for 1 minute or until spinach is wilted down. 7.Once ricotta mixture is made and spinach is ready, combine the two in a medium size bowl and mix well. Taste mixture and add any extra salt or seasonings if needed. Recipe continued in comments! Today is also #NationalMargaritaDay, so this has been added to tonight's celebrations ⚚⠀ ⠀ NATIONAL MARGARITA DAY⎨3 YEARS STRONG⎬⠀ ⠀ This is actually a thing…⠀ ⠀ We’ve never really listed a BTW variant on a margarita, unless anyone recalls that basil vodka, black salt and cucumber abomination from summer year 1. Lesson learnt: classics are such for a reason, no need to mess with formula. A good margarita needs three things shook hard to an imperfect 3-2-1 ratio:⠀ ⠀ Earthy #Tequila (or #Mezcal) for body NB. ours had neither⠀ ⠀ Acid (lime or lemon, Mexicans actually name these the other way round)⠀ ⠀ Sweet (agave syrup for the #Tommy’s version or Triple Sec for the punchy original)⠀ ⠀ Savoury can be added in the form of a salt rim to kick against the acid, but the basics are there and, hey, it works. (FWIW we really like this Smoked Viking Salt from @souschefuk ) It’s actually our most popular drink, despite never featuring on the menu asides that ill fated attempt to add to the canon. Chances are you will have enjoyed these with us in one of two ways (or three if you want to include Anna’s slightly odd brown concoction; we asked, she dosen’t even know why). Des likes the Tommy’s, Alex reaches for the #Combier. Both are fairly set in their ways so, in the never-ending age of lists, click-bait and the people-having-the-final-say we’re putting it to you tonight to see which one is preferred.⠀ ⠀ Like any good referendum tonight’s results will be wholly undefinitive and we’ll probably still be debating the minutiae a further two years down the line. Check my poblano #recipes click @internationalmenu for link in profile 🌶 Poblano is a relatively mild chilli pepper, although sometimes they can be unpredictable and give you a strong heat and aroma. They have a dark, thick, and green skin and are heart shaped, originating from the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho, and it’s sometimes dried and smoked as well. We buy them from a Mexican store, and they are perfect for mole ( a traditional spicy chocolate chili sauce) or some salsas. Also I usually grow poblano in my garden, but they are a smaller size than poblanos from a grocery store, but more tastier and aromatic. The problem is that Summer is short here, so most of the time we are buying poblano peppers. Poblanos are ideal for stuffing. They can be fresh or roasted, which brings out the fruitier flavors of the pepper and makes it much easier in removing the skin. Here are some my recipes: Stuffed Chile Rellenos or Chiles en Nogada, which is popular dish during the Mexican Independence festivities. They can also be added into salad dressings or sautéed with onion and garlic to make salsas. Poblano peppers can be frozen too, which then I usually roast them on a fire or dry pan on all sides, then peel them and afterwards put them in a container and leave the peppers in the freezer for a couple of months. Son súper fáciles de hacer, las hice después de llegar del trabajo que me dio un impulso que no podía desaprovechar. Además hoy me llegó el mercado de @la.cesteria que pedi (todos los ingredientes para esta receta los conseguí en @la.cesteria) . 3 bananos maduros 🍌 hechos puré 1 taza de dátiles finamente picados 1/4 taza de leche de almendras @milsmilk 1/4 taza de aceite de coco 🥥 orgánico @we.organic 2 cucharaditas de esencia de vainilla 2 tazas de avena en hojuelas GF Bobs Red Mill Pecans para el topping 1/2 yogurt vegano sabor caramelo de @bodaifoods . Mezcla todo en un bowl con tus manos. Luego con una cuchara vas a formar las bolitas y a ponerlas en una bandeja con papel parafinado presionándolas un poco. Luego pones en cada galletica un pecan. . 👉🏻Lleva al horno por 20 minutos a 350 grados. Y listo!! Quedan deliciosas. Cashew-Almond-Burfi! Indulgence once in a while isn’t too bad, right? Made in less than 15minutes, this is the just what you need to satisfy your sweet cravings. There are tons of methods to make this dish - here’s a quick version - •Grind 1.5 cups of cashewnuts and 1/2 cup of raw almonds (I used it with its skin) to a fine powder and keep aside. •Boil together 1 cup of raw sugar and 1 cup of water and let it thicken to about a one-thread consistency. One-thread consistency is when you touch a tiny amount of the syrup mixture with your forefinger and a single thread/string is formed when your forefinger and your thumb are pulled apart gently. •Add in some saffron strands, the powdered nuts mixture, and a tablespoon of butter/ghee. •Keep stirring till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. •Transfer to a tray, let it cool for about 5mins, and cut it into pieces. Eh già! Realizzare la maionese perfetta non è cosa da poco. Il rischio di farla “impazzire” (ovvero di smontarla slegando gli ingredienti) è molto elevato. Arroz oriental de verduras y garbanzos A veces hacemos arroz o pasta y se nos va la mano, a mi me pasa casi siempre 😂 así que ayer hice arroz hervido y me sobró bastante. Hoy he hecho a la plancha calabacín, berenjena, brócoli, espinacas y tomate seco. Todo picado y a la sartén, le he añadido los garbanzos cocidos y que se cocine todo junto, chorrito de soja y dejar que caramelice. Añadir, entonces, el arroz o la pasta cocida, menear y otro chorrito de soja. Dejar que se amalgame bien todo dándole vueltas con cuidado y listo! Creo que he tardado en total unos 15 min. Imaginad lo que tardáis si tenéis verduras cocidas preparadas en la nevera, ni 5 minutos. Es un plato compensado que si queréis reducir calorías podéis substituir parte del arroz por más verdura y seguirá siendo delicioso. ¡Espero que paséis un fin de semana fantástico! He knows the key to mama’s ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ This kid asked for my Fast & Fabulous (wonderful non-processed recipes by Lisa Leake) cookbook and was actually interested in making something out of it! We’ve made #baked oatmeal, overnight oats and we are about to start energy balls! It’s an oat kinda day that will last us all week! 💥 The baked oatmeal (not from Lisa’s cookbook 😉) wasn’t the tastiest 😕 but I like trying new things. LEMON GARLIC BUTTER STEAK AND BROCCOLI SKILLET Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, sliced against the grain 2 broccoli florets 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 garlic cloves, minced 3 tablespoons butter or ghee Juice of 1/2 lemon 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth 1/4 cup chopped parsley&or garnish 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional Salt&fresh cracked pepper, to taste Fresh thyme, for garnish The steak marinade 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1/2 cup olive oil 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (or any hot chili sauce you like) DIRECTIONS 1. Combine the ingredients for the marinade in a shallow plate or bowl Add the steak strips into the marinade and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to one hour. 2. In the meantime, wash and break down the broccoli heads into florets. Blanch the florets into boiling water for 1 or 2 minutes, then rinse with cold water. 3. Bring the steak to room temperature heat oil and one tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat — reserve the juices of the marinade for later. Add the steak strips in one layer season with salt, pepper. Cook for one minute without stirring, then flip the steak strips,cook other side for another minute. Proceed in batches if necessary to avoid crowding the pan. Remove the steak strips from the skillet and set aside to a plate. 4. Using the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, then add lemon juice, minced garlic, beef broth, remaining marinade juices. Bring to a simmer then stir in the fresh parsley broccoli florets toss regularly until the sauce a reduced and the broccoli is cooked to your liking. 5. Add the steak strips back to the pan to reheat quickly. Serve immediately with thyme, chili flakes, more parsley, and lemon slices.
