Recipe By📸 @sara.haven ¼ cup coconut flour • ¼ teaspoon @primalpalate pumpkin pie spice • ¼ teaspoon baking soda • 2 tbsp. cashew butter (can sub any nut butter) • 2 eggs, slightly beaten • 1 egg white, beaten stiff (optional, but makes the pancakes fluffy) • ½ tbsp. maple syrup (you can sub stevia or another sweetener) • 3 tbsp. pumpkin purée • 3 tbsp. almond milk • 1) Combine first two dry ingredients in a small bowl. In separate bowl, stir nut butter, eggs, maple syrup (or honey), and pumpkin. Slowly stir in almond milk. Add dry ingredients to wet, stir until well combined, then let batter sit for a couple minutes. Cook up your cakes! By @chelseasmessyapron . 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce separated 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce 2 and 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic separated 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon cornstarch separated 1 pound flank steak 3-5 tablespoons vegetable oil separated Assorted veggies: 8 ounces sliced mushrooms, 8 ounces snap peas, 1 cup shredded carrots, 1 red bell pepper 2 packages 3 ounces each ramen noodles 2 tablespoons sesame oil 1 cup low-sodium beef stock or broth 1 tablespoon minced ginger 1/2 cup brown sugar* packed 1/2 - 1 full teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional: green onions Instructions Toss the meat to coat with the cornstarch in a large plastic bag. Heat until the oil is shimmering and then add in 1/2 the beef so it can be in a single layer. Repeat. Transfer to a plate. In that same skillet or wok, add in the sesame oil, remaining 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons soy sauce, beef stock or broth, remaining 1 and 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar* (add to your taste preference, we like a lot of sugar in this dish), and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook (uncovered) over medium heat until sauce thickens a bit and reduces by about a third (about 10-12 minutes). You don't want to reduce it too much so it can still generously coat all the noodles & veggies. In a small dish, whisk together remaining 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 teaspoon water until smooth. Whisk into the sauce. While the sauce is reducing, boil a small pot of water and cook the ramen noodles for exactly 2 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Add the cooked veggies, cooked meat, and drained ramen noodles into the sauce. Toss to coat and top with green onions. Add some cracked pepper and additional red pepper flakes if desired. Food is not only a vehicle of information to our body, it’s also a emotional powerful relationship with our ourselves which is entirely up to you ❤️ — FYI this is a throwback food diary to when I was cooking in Italy 🇮🇹 two weeks ago I had the luxury of time to prepare all the above. In reality in my day to day life this may never be the case. But quality is rarely compromised. The below is approx 2400 calories - Protein 40% Carbs 30% Fat 30% — Breakfast: Scrambled eggs - kale - sourdough toast - 1/2 avocado - tomatoes - Brunch: Rice cakes - buffalo mozzarella- Parma ham - basil - tomatoes - olive oil - Lunch: Picanha steak - green beans - sundried tomatoes - sweet potato - 1/2 avocado - Dinner: Bean and beef chilli - cauliflower rice - wild rocket - coconut milk yogurt - parsley - chilli - smashed avocado - As you can see I’m a big fan of avocados 🥑 mainly for their potassium content ❤️💪🏼 — Remember, I didn’t start cooking like this the first day I wanted to learn more about cooking. Meal Plan for next week is up!! Anyone else have a SUPER crazy week next week? We have ball games 2 nights, so Monday and Tuesday I will be eating at Subway and packing a salad (yes, I will pack food for a ball game----I have GOT to avoid the concession stand! Easter chocolate protein truffles Makes 10 100g pitted dates 50g pumpkins seeds 100g musclefood whey protein 50g jumbo rolled oats 85% cocoa chocolate 70g ( use more as you will waste some ) Two packs of smarties 30g peanut/almond/ any nut butter Water Place the dates , seeds, protein, rolled oats in a food processor. ( don’t try and use a blender it doesn’t work ) and pulse until you get a powdered grainy powdered consistency. Like bread crumbs. Then add the nut butter. Pulse again until combined. Add water at this point. In very small amounts. Remember you can put water in not take it out. Continue. To pulse until you get a fudge like consistency. Even the mixture out into 10 balls. And freeze for them minutes. Meanwhile melt your chocolate. In a bowl. Take out the balls from the freezer. Place on the end of a fork. Or wooden skewer if you have one. Turn round in the melted chocolate bowl. And add the smarties. Hold upright for 30 seconds. Then move onto the next. Gently freezing the balls helps the chocolate to set instead of just running off the protein mixture You can really play about with this mixture. It’s virtually fool proof you can’t get it wrong. Add or take away calories to suit your calorific needs. I wanted mine to be 200 calories each. So I play and add or remove ingredients until i have what I want. 203 calories each 18C 9F 12P

Prepped a pan of these fun roasted vegetables with broiled bread cheese for lunches this week. It was just one of those recipes that as soon as @thefeedfeed posted it, I knew I had to make it! Anyone else have that happen sometimes!? . I used jalapeno juustoleipa (bread cheese, great for broiling & searing, similar to halloumi!) from Heber Valley Artisan Cheese and it had the perfect kick when paired with the subtle sweetness of the caramelized roasted vegetables. And everything was pulled together with a zippy radish sauce. Happy lunching & happy Friday, friends! 💚

Low carb couldn't be more filling and satisfying. . 90 second bread In a bowl, mix 3 tbsp almond flour 1 tbsp avocado oil 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 egg Pink salt Mix, spray glass pyrex with olive spray, and microwave 90 seconds. I have talked about my diet before, but I’ve been getting a lot of questions about it, so I’m posting again lol Right now I’m doing something called flexible dieting with @macrostax .This method is key to sustaining a great figure while finding a balance between “good foods” and “junk foods”. In times past I followed a very strict bodybuilding style diet. This means I ate mostly lean proteins, green veggies, and fats like coconut oil, nuts, and PB 😋. I only ate foods that would be considered less healthy when I was given cheat meals by my coach (these are meant to boost your metabolism) or after shows. I had great results from this diet! But I found it hard to sustain all year around. Often if you tell yourself you “can’t have” certain foods, you’ll fight it in your mind, because we innately we like to fight rules. So now, using the flexible dieting approach on @macrostax I don’t feel the need to deprive myself of certain foods. It’s common to think that eating unhealthy foods makes you gain weight, when in reality just eating too much of those foods is bad. Oh and by the way! Eating too much “healthy food” also makes you gain weight. So if you want to find a healthy balance between the “fun” foods and the “healthy foods” check out @macrostax and use my code BUFFBLONDIE . Easter chocolate protein truffles Makes 10 100g pitted dates 50g pumpkins seeds 100g musclefood whey protein 50g jumbo rolled oats 85% cocoa chocolate 70g ( use more as you will waste some ) Two packs of smarties 30g peanut/almond/ any nut butter Water Place the dates , seeds, protein, rolled oats in a food processor. ( don’t try and use a blender it doesn’t work ) and pulse until you get a powdered grainy powdered consistency. Like bread crumbs. Then add the nut butter. Pulse again until combined. Add water at this point. In very small amounts. Remember you can put water in not take it out. Continue. To pulse until you get a fudge like consistency. Even the mixture out into 10 balls. And freeze for them minutes. Meanwhile melt your chocolate. In a bowl. Take out the balls from the freezer. Place on the end of a fork. Or wooden skewer if you have one. Turn round in the melted chocolate bowl. And add the smarties. Hold upright for 30 seconds. Then move onto the next. Gently freezing the balls helps the chocolate to set instead of just running off the protein mixture You can really play about with this mixture. It’s virtually fool proof you can’t get it wrong. Add or take away calories to suit your calorific needs. I wanted mine to be 200 calories each. So I play and add or remove ingredients until i have what I want. 203 calories each 18C 9F 12P

I got a lot of questions about this fried rice & if I follow a recipe so I wanted to mention a few things that work for me 1. I do not- I often go by how the day is going if I’m behind on life in a hurry I have a quick recipe ( which is this one ) || @wholefoods has the best frozen brown rice bags ever. Super easy fast & good. I cooked that along with their frozen pea& carrot mixture, sautéed my shrimp with whatever seasoning you like, fried my egg, added soy sauce to my rice & then combine all ingredients, add a little more soy if desired & enjoy! NOTHING fancy 👸 just a mom trying to keep up 😂🤗 —- 2. I’ve also picked up a frozen vegetable fried rice bag from @traderjoes & that was bomb ( and easy lunch idea while trying to be vegetarian for me 🤷🏼‍♀️ ) 3.On a good well planned day I LOVE broccoli, fresh carrots sliced up and onion sautéed with brown rice or cauliflower rice and similar fry egg cook, your meat & enjoy 4. My toddlers lovvved it I’m going to remake and hide every veggie in the world in it 🤦‍♀️ 5. Just keeping it real 🥰🥰🥰

Healthy Hamburger Helper, courtesy of @eatbanza Mac and Cheese 🧀 —— 1 box Banza Deluxe Cheddar Mac and Cheese (can also use regular cheddar box) 1 pound ground turkey 1 tb cornstarch 1 tsp ketchup 1 tsp hot sauce 1 tsp garlic powder 1.5 tsp onion powder 1.5 tsp salt 0.5 tsp black pepper 1 c hot water 1.5 c milk —— Cook the turkey in a medium pot over medium heat until no longer pink. Add in all spices, ketchup, hot sauce, cornstarch and mix so they are evenly distributed. Add the milk, water, and pasta. Cover and allow to boil and then cook for about 5 mins or until pasta is al dente. (Drain any excess liquid if needed at this point) Add the cheese sauce packet, stir until combined, and serve!

There is always way to make your life more enjoyable, if you watch my stories I post some food that on “diet” is taboo, but if you balance it out you are getting same results as you’re on strict bodybuilding diet.
