Garlic Beef & Veggie Ramen😍 . ✅ Save this recipe for later to make 😋 ✅ Tag someone who loves healthy food👇🏼 ✅ Follow @easy.healthy.eats 🌱 . By @chelseasmessyapron . 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce separated 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce 2 and 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic separated 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon cornstarch separated 1 pound flank steak 3-5 tablespoons vegetable oil separated Assorted veggies: 8 ounces sliced mushrooms, 8 ounces snap peas, 1 cup shredded carrots, 1 red bell pepper 2 packages 3 ounces each ramen noodles 2 tablespoons sesame oil 1 cup low-sodium beef stock or broth 1 tablespoon minced ginger 1/2 cup brown sugar* packed 1/2 - 1 full teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional: green onions Instructions Toss the meat to coat with the cornstarch in a large plastic bag. Heat until the oil is shimmering and then add in 1/2 the beef so it can be in a single layer. Repeat. Transfer to a plate. In that same skillet or wok, add in the sesame oil, remaining 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons soy sauce, beef stock or broth, remaining 1 and 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar* (add to your taste preference, we like a lot of sugar in this dish), and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook (uncovered) over medium heat until sauce thickens a bit and reduces by about a third (about 10-12 minutes). You don't want to reduce it too much so it can still generously coat all the noodles & veggies. In a small dish, whisk together remaining 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 teaspoon water until smooth. Whisk into the sauce. While the sauce is reducing, boil a small pot of water and cook the ramen noodles for exactly 2 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Add the cooked veggies, cooked meat, and drained ramen noodles into the sauce. Toss to coat and top with green onions. Add some cracked pepper and additional red pepper flakes if desired. Regular crackers ➡️ Flax crackers - While most crackers are nutrient deficient & include irritants like gluten or flour, flax crackers are packed with fiber, healthy fats & protein. That’s why they’ll leave you feeling more full than their flimsy counterparts 🙌 . Coffee creamers ➡️ coconut oil 🥥- Love your coffee creamy? Coconut oil is a great option over processed creamers with added sugars & ingredients. Simply just add your coffee with 1/2 to 1 tbsp coconut oil to a blender, blend it and it comes out super creamy! First and foremost, it is handcrafted from NATURE. ⭐️ I love making this #raw APPLE CABBAGE SLAW for the week and adding it as a side salad to my meals. Give it a try if you’re looking for more salad variety! ⭐️ To make the RAW APPLE CABBAGE SLAW, you will need: • 3 organic rainbow carrots, grated • 1/2 of a small/medium red cabbage, finely chopped • 2 organic Fuji apples, cubed (stone fruit also works great) • 1/3 cup raw pumpkin seeds ⭐️ To make the dressing, whisk together: • 4 tbsp olive oil • 2 tbsp Bragg’s apple cider vinegar • 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced • the juice from 1/2 a lime • 2 scallions (finely chopped) • Himalayan sea salt • Black pepper ⭐️ Grate carrots and toss in a bowl with chopped red cabbage. Next, add the diced apples. For the dressing, whisk together all ingredients and pour over the slaw. Dump in pumpkin seeds. Add shrimp, and minced garlic, then cook for 3-4 minutes, or just until shrimp turns pink and is no longer translucent. Season shrimp with sea salt and pepper to taste, remove from heat. In a large bowl add cooked shrimp, chopped tomatoes, diced avocado, sliced chili, and chopped cilantro leaves. Drizzle with remaining 1 Tablespoon of oil and squeeze in your fresh lemon juice, add zest, then very gently toss to combine everything together. Adjust seasonings to your taste and enjoy! I prefer this salad eaten within a few hours of preparing, but it stays good in the fridge for a day or two. By @cleanfoodcrush

Do you ever wonder how much you should eat in a day? Or how many times a day you should eat? What you should eat at those meals? How much is too much or too little? ⠀ ⠀ My mind used to be consumed with those thoughts before I found portion controlled nutrition!⠀ ⠀ I used to start my day “on track” and find excuses to blow my plan when the kids got home from school or on the weekends. I was always looking towards that cheat meal that turned into a cheat weekend. ⠀ ⠀ I have learned how many fruits, veggies, proteins, carbs and fats my body needs to function with my active lifestyle. I have energy and balance with my food choices. I actually eat more now then I did before and I finally shed the unwanted pounds and inches and have kept them off. ⠀ ⠀ Now it’s a lifestyle! I can go out to eat and be specific with my order and be confident with my portion sizes and enjoy it! ⠀ ⠀ It’s freeing! 🍵 Creamy Broccoli Spinach Soup Recipe 🍵 . . . ✔INGREDIENTS . . 🔹️ Broccoli florets . . 🔹️ Spinach leaves (a bunch) . 🔹️Garlic . 🔹️Spices- Turmeric, Red chilli powder, Salt, Black pepper powder . 🔹️Olive/Cooking oil (1tsp) . 🔹️Milk/Soy milk/Almond milk (100 ml) . . ✔PROCEDURE . . 🔹️Boil the Broccoli florets and spinach leaves . 🔹️Cool it and make a paste . 🔹️Heat olive oil/cooking oil . . 🔹️Add 5-7 crushed garlic cloves . 🔹️Wait till the garlic turns golden brown in colour and then add the paste of spinach and broccoli . 🔹️Add 1tsp each of turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and black pepper powder and mix well . 🔹️Add the milk and cook for 2 min. P.S. : Vegans can use Soy or Almond milk like I did. Prepped a pan of these fun roasted vegetables with broiled bread cheese for lunches this week. It was just one of those recipes that as soon as @thefeedfeed posted it, I knew I had to make it! Anyone else have that happen sometimes!? . I used jalapeno juustoleipa (bread cheese, great for broiling & searing, similar to halloumi!) from Heber Valley Artisan Cheese and it had the perfect kick when paired with the subtle sweetness of the caramelized roasted vegetables. And everything was pulled together with a zippy radish sauce. Happy lunching & happy Friday, friends! 💚

🔥THE DIRTY DOZEN: FULL OF PESTICIDES OR BULLSHIT?🔥.⠀ .⠀ Here are 12 foods that have been given the label “The Dirty Dozen”...⠀ .⠀ What does that mean?...⠀ .⠀ People that are very pro-organic produce have labelled these 12 foods as ones to be avoided if you’re opting for the non-organic varieties.⠀ .⠀ The claim is that pesticide levels were 30% lower in organic foods compared to their non-organic counterparts.⠀ .⠀ Oooooo sounds convincing right?⠀ .⠀ No-one wants to be eating all those extra chemicals…⠀ .⠀ But here’s the reality…⠀ .⠀ Even though the organic foods had lower pesticide levels, the non-organic alternatives were still thousands of times lower than the threshold that would be deemed harmful.⠀ .⠀ Studies have also looked at conditions such as eczema and wheeze etc and found no difference between the consumption of organic or non-organic on these types of condition.⠀ .⠀ And finally even though chicken and pork didn’t make it to the dirty dozen it’s worth pointing out that organic version had lower levels of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, both contained bacteria that would cause food poisoning.⠀ .⠀ So what does all this mean?⠀ .⠀ Well I’m not against organic food. Far from it.⠀ .⠀ In fact, I think certain organic foods definitely taste better than the non-organic versions.⠀ .⠀ The point I’m making is that the label “organic” doesn’t necessarily make it healthier. YOU GUYS. I HAVE NOT BEEN THIS EXCITED TO WORKOUT AT HOME SINCE T25!!!! Let's be clear, I HATE working out and am super ADD. That's why T25 was the program I chose when I first decided to give Beachbody a try. Thanks to that workout, combined with the 21 Day Fix nutrition plan, my baby weight is longgg gone but I am itching to get rid of this year's winter fluff and the lengthier programs I've tried just aren't my jam 😬 I either need to be in a live class where the peer pressure alone is what gets me through or the workout literally needs to last 20 minutes. If you can relate and want to join me in getting our beachbodys ready in the comfort of our own homes for 20 minutes a day before the summer solstice sets in, LMK! 👙🌞

🛒Grocery Haul 🛒 $62.74 spent at Fred Meyer This is probably the ugliest looking grocery haul- how do you make all those bags of grapes look appealing? Maybe turn them into wine. ☺️ # # We do a once a week grocery haul at Fred Meyers to fill in the gaps between our Costco Hauls (every 2 weeks). We shop mainly for produce and pantry staples we don’t need in bulk, we will buy meat there if it’s on sale but prefer the quality of Costco’s (at least here in Alaska). Also I’m not great about getting these shopping hauls posted in a timely manner- this Haul is from Sunday. # # (Not pictured is sparkling water- since you already know we are addicted.) Highlights: Discount Produce- 10 bags of grapes & 2 bags of baby carrots. $1.00 each. I cleaned off and froze all but 2 bags of grapes. My kids love frozen fruit. We haven’t even dipped into the cuties yet- so those will flow into next weeks fruit choices. If your looking for Whole30 compliant hot sauces - DON’T buy those... my husbands choices. Those chickpea snacks were on discount for $1.49, I picked them up to see if my kids would like them. I thought they were good. Ingredients were:chickpeas, sunflower oil and salt. Dried chili peppers to make chili oil. # # Just want to note that we are a military family living in Juneau Alaska. We have two boys 5 & 2, who already eat like teenagers. Not everything pictured is Whole30. We do eat at home 99% of the time and my husband packs a lunch to work. So many great buys..and a few to stay away from. #1 Avoid thew raw apple cider vinegar, I could not find the probiotic bacteria in the bottle..Mother!? #2 The #glutenfree baking mixes are a great price and don't have any smelly bean flours #3 Kerry gold grass-fed Irish butter is a fab deal #4 Meyer lemons are a winter item and so yummy, grab a bag! #4. Considering the amount of time I’ve spent watching baking shows like Nailed It and Sugar Rush this week, I’m pretty impressed I’ve done well to stay on track with my nutrition 😆. . This is a strawberry vinaigrette spinach salad! I made a big batch of this dressing a few weeks ago, and then froze it into individual portions.
