It feels just like yesterday when I met Nash in the back of our friends car, unaware that this small crush would soon become my husband to be, a crush that would turn into a love so deep that words could never do it justice.
Last month we celebrated our 8 year anniversary. 8 years of love, travel, commitment, struggles, trials and tribulations. The first 4 we spent living in two different countries on opposite ends of the earth. But this didn’t stop us. When we weren’t Skyping, texting, writing long long emails back and forth, we were meeting somewhere in a land very foreign to our own, strengthening our bond while exploring this new environment together. Being able to problem solve while traveling and experiencing a place for the first time as a duo is something so valuable, so priceless. I will never forget when we rolled up in our VW bus and stood in awe under the starry night sky in Joshua Tree, our first Safari through Tanzania or the time we backpacked through South East Asia communicating with hands and feet to somehow find our way to the Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam.
Travel has changed me as a person, shaped us as a couple and has given us more joy and shared memories than we can count.
