A genuine #privilege to be Captaining this #young and enthusiastic #Karnataka women's team.
Most of them are representing the state at the #senior level for the first time, and I am playing for a state team after YEARS, owing to the new rule that 2 OCI players can play for state now :) We're on our way, via train, to #Arunachal for the #SeniorNationals. It's a 3 days #train #journey, but our team has been blessed with all kinds of entertaining personalities that are making this journey a joy! Lol.
Needless to say these experiences are a far departure from my footballing experiences in UK, but I'm not complaining. This has its own charm, which in all honesty, I love and I missed.
Regardless of the outcome we have at this tournament, I am excited about the #future of the womens game in the state. Marked by encouraging parents and a handful of really good people @ksfaofficial (Karnataka State Football Association) who truly want the girls to grow, the future promises some really #positive opportunities :) I think when I chose to move to #Bangalore , I got really lucky 😊
Special mention to @swethasubbiah for taking out time everyday for the past few days to work on our #fitness, on a complete voluntary basis! You're a star! And @raghavthefeline and @satyaksfa for all your back end work and support. We wouldn't be here without you, and we're all very grateful! 🤗
I'll be posting insta stories EVERYDAY during this trip. Match days and non-match days. STAY TUNED! Trust me, it'll be worth it ⚽😉 #TanvieHans #ksfa #KarnatakaWomensFootballTeam
