The Pollok Park Highland Coos.🐄 I ran past them a couple of times yesterday. Once while doing my warm up and once when doing my cool down.
Pollok Park parkrun was really good yesterday. I went with the mindset of racing it, no matter what the course was like. I got a 2 mile warm up done and had to ask another runner for directions as I just couldn't work out which way to go to get back to the start line. As it turned out, I wasn't that far from it. Phew!
I went out hard and attacked the hills, trying to pick up the pace on the down hills. It seemed to work and I finished 5th in 19:09.
I'd hoped to run 6:00min/mi pace but not on that course!
Today, I'm heading back to Pollok Park to do my long run. Maybe 3 miles to get there, a couple of laps of the park then 3 miles back. 11 miles in total.
Love exploring new places 😊. #highlandcows #pollokpark
