A list of reasons never to diet again ⬇️⬇️
▪️So that your day doesn’t revolve around what, when, and how much you can eat.
▪️To eat at a restaurant without researching the menu first
▪️To never have to measure food portions or weigh your food on a scale again.
▪️So that you never have to open your pantry and feel sad about all the foods you wish you were allowed to eat.
▪️To not lay in bed at night and feel a little swell of pride at the empty, rumbling feeling in your stomach.
▪️So that you can choose movement you truly enjoy, instead what promises to burn the most calories or “shred” the most fat.
▪️So that you can begin to accept that all the parts of your body that you’ve been convinced are flawed, or too large, or too soft, are perfectly acceptable just the way they are.
▪️To not have to start every day by stripping naked and standing on the scale, waiting to see if it will be a good day or a shitty one.
▪️To not have to bring a cooler of your own food when you go visit family and nibble on cabbage salad while everyone else enjoys their lasagna.
▪️So that your kids don’t learn that their body is their most important asset, that food is to be feared, and that their bodies are NOT okay just as they are.
▪️To not have to start each month by measuring every part of your body to check for “progress”.
▪️So that you can stop posing for before photos in your underwear, after photos that don’t last, and more sad before photos a few weeks later.
▪️So that you can get your life back, quit obsessing about food and your body, and realize that you’re on this earth for a bigger reason than sculpting your abs.
➡️ What would you add to this list?
I looooovee this reminder so much I had to share it because it hits close to home for me and what I want others to understand too. It’s what I preach and coach my clients to learn/realize also. Thanks @kristamurias for this!
