Taking a rest day today 💕 My bod is sore & it’s cold and rainy so motivation is v low 😂 - I’m feeling AMAZING though - probably the best I’ve ever felt in a very very long time 🥰 I’m going to be honest w/ you - bulking has been scary af. While I was not necessarily extremely under eating by any means, I put up a mental block of eating 2000 cals or less for way more than a year - which is definitely a caloric deficit for my body type especially with how often I workout. I got to a place where I was comfortable with my physique and didn’t want to risk gaining any weight (fat) back 🙂 - Fast forward to now & finally plunging into a “bulk,” not only for gains but for my metabolism and mental health - I’m eating 2700 calories/day & still counting 😏, v full but my energy and strength is unreal. I’ve been waking up early/easier, less tired as often, lifting heavier, and feeling better. You don’t really know how bad you’re feeling until you feel even better. I can’t thank myself enough for breaking mental barriers and stepping outside my comfort zone bc I’m feeling like a million bucks both physically and mentally! ✨

Im letzten Beitrag ging es darum, warum die Waage oft nicht das macht, was du dir vielleicht wünschst. Hier ist die zweite Strategie, damit das auch wirklich klappt mit dem Messer deiner Fortschritte: ⏱DER ZEITPUNKT - Es ist wichtig, dass du dich immer zur selben Zeit und/oder unter den selben Voraussetzungen wiegst. Denn selbst eine Mahlzeit mehr im Tagesverlauf kann im Vergleich zur anderen Messzeit große Unterschiede auf der Waage verursachen. Dazu haben vor allem Frauen immer wieder mit kurzfristigen Wassereinlagerungen zu kämpfen. Das liegt vor allem am weiblichen Zyklus. Das heißt konkret, dass vorübergehende Schwankungen beim Gewicht nicht der Beweis sind, dass etwas nicht funktioniert - sondern genau das Gegenteil: Nämlich dass der Körper in einem dynamischen Prozess ist, wie eine kleine Wellenbewegung mit Tendenz nach unten. Día de brazos , mis 2 favoritos ‼️👇🏻 Giren a la izquierda 🔝☑️ . Estos ejercicios se hacen con un máximo de 30 segundos por set. Whatever you get up to, make sure you get your NEAT in (yes this just a thinly veiled excuse to post some images of this beautiful village my Spanish family is from...). NEAT stands for: None. Exercise. Activity. Thermogenesis - basically any physical activity you do that isn’t directly considered a “workout”. NEAT is an incredibly useful tool to boost your daily calorie expenditure, and gives you a nudge to stay productive and active! There a loads of examples, but some popular choices are walking instead of using transport (getting your steps in), taking the stairs instead of the lift, even dancing and doing household chores are viable options. In my case, I’m spending the weekend in an extremely hilly and mountainous area of southern Spain - so I’ll definitely be smashing my 10,000 steps per day (plus the streets are narrow and they drive on the wrong side of the road here 😜)!!!

back in the day, i used to go through 2-3 handles of whiskey a week. moved to Cali in 2009 and it got worse. not being able to find a decent job and dad passing away in 2011, you can now add drugs, anxiety, and depression to my Seagrams 7. i got ANNIHILATED almost everyday. ------ i never stopped LIFTING, though - no matter how hungover or cracked out. it was at the gym when everything went away and i was with me, and me only. the hoodie i wear? yeah, that's why. WHAT PRESSED ME DOWN OUTSIDE, I PUSHED BACK UP ON THE BENCH. and i would clear my head. find myself again. it was my only way out. a daily U-turn on my highway to SELF-DESTRUCTION. ------ to some of us, the gym is more than a place to mold your body. it's a RETREAT from the world, all the fucking noise and static, the bullshit, the negativity. my "FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE." ------ hopefully, you discovered your person, place, or thing that provides moments of liberation (a healthy and positive one!) because we all just need to get away sometimes. ------ ------ ------ SOOOOO anyway, still debating on whether or not you wanna hit up the gym tonight? it could very well put your life back on track. 😄 ------ [transparent af]

Guten Morgen☀️ . Gestern waren wir so unglaublich lecker frühstücken😍🍴Falls ihr mal in Los Angeles sein werdet, geht da unbedingt hin👆🏻Die beste Bowl, die ich bisher gegessen habe.
