There are some movies that just remind me why I love cinema and the film industry so much. @bealestreet is one of those movies, a tragic story so beautifully told by all involved. The acting, direction, cinematography and score were all so on point and the lead performances from @kikilayne and @tdotsteph were exceptional and captivating! Please everybody go and see this movie! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬 . . . . . . . . . #ifbealestreetcouldtalk #ifbealestreetcouldtalkmovie #bealestreet #barryjenkins #kikilayne #stephonjames #reginaking #colmandomingo #teyonahparris #edskrein #diegoluna #finnwittrock #davefranco #movies #moviesof2019 #film #cinema #journalist #journalism #filmreview #oscars #oscars2019 #academyawards

"From the heart comes a warning, filled with bloody good cheer, remember what happened as the 14th draws near!" ___________________________________ My Bloody Valentine (1981) Directed by George Mihalka ___________________________________ Watched on 2/14/19 at home. . . . Fun little Canadian slasher flick. Watch it every year on Valentine's day. Apparently the DVD and Blu-Rays are out of print so I'm pretty happy I have it, if I remember correctly my mom bought it for me a looooong time ago. Not much to say except that it has a cool "legend" like story for Harry Warden (who should have been an iconic 80's killer with his own franchise damn it) and a pretty creepy atmosphere, especially the cave scenes at the end. Fun flick, check it out. . . Rating: 6/10

#movietime #sinema #cinema #film #filmizle #movie #cinephile #movieoftheday #movieofthenight #artist #actor #actrees #greatmovie #art #moviestar #bestmovie #filmtavsiyesi #beyazperde #sinemalar #sinemakeyfi #goodmovie #imdb #hollywood #moviereview #filmbuff #filmreview #filmcritick #movieaddict #davidlynch

Film challenge 12/100 This movie is something special. It approaches the western genre in weird and modern ways that make the genre feel fresh. Westerns of the 50’s were very clean, and proper, which is fine if you look at them with a 1950’s lense. This film combines more historical perspective, along with crazy modern ideas. It’s not all realistic and a Buster Scruggs himself is a cowboy with supernatural abilities. I also enjoy that this is not just one film, it is a collection of short films. The Coens are lauded as some of the best directors to make films, for good reason. There are dry parts, and it feels as though not all segments were created equal in terms of content, writing, and star power on screen, which gives it an uneven feel, but this could also be because I just didn’t care for the particular story. My favorite was All Gold Canyon. This is also an important film as it’s another in Netflix’s line of studio quality films, and this time it’s actually really good. (I enjoyed bright, didn’t like bird box, check my review, and haven’t seen others such as IO) Most of you have access to Netflix, if not try to catch this, even if you don’t have the whole two hours it’s easy to pick one story and enjoy for 20 minutes. . 🍿🍿🍿🍿 . . #FilmReview #FilmReviews #MovieCritic #FilmsAndSeries #Recomendaciones #PeliculasRecomendadas #Pelis #moviereview #filmfan #Cinephile #Cinefilos #Cinephilecommunity #filmaddict #movienews #seriesrecomendadas #cinefan #filmgeek #filmnerds

Swiss Army Man (Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) “Swiss Army Man” is a strange film like no other that i’ve seen. Paul Dano plays Hank, a man “stuck” on a deserted island. The film begins with Hank tying a noose for himself, ready to commit suicide, until a body washes onto the shore and he goes to investigate. Daniel Radcliffe who is best known for his role as Harry Potter plays Manny, the corpse. Manny is a corpse who regains consciousness but not mobility and he is able to be used in unusual ways as a large tool similar to a swiss army knife. Powerful farts, fresh water projecting from his mouth and other quirky abilities make Manny the perfect partner for the journey back to humanity. “Swiss Army Man” is lighthearted but heavy, it is sunshine breaching a thick tree-line. Radcliffe and Dano have an organic rapport. They have comedic conversations about “Jurassic Park”, masturbation and all things that make people real and they dissect love deeply. The film is shot in interesting pans and angles that make you feel like you’re in the muddy wilderness of depression with them. There is a beautiful color tone to the film as well, as though there is a saturated filter on the heavy green and blue tones within the forest. Theres a lot of music to be found within the scenes that add the emotional depth you’d expect from a fight for survival. When you mix all these things together, you got something strange and unusual. “Swiss Army Man” is an artful dark comedy i think anyone would appreciate but you need to get ready to chew on a lot. 6/10

Caught up with Ernst Lubitsch's Heaven Can Wait for my Oscars project, and I was delighted at this film. This film basically tells the story of a man who never really did anything, yet it never bored me for even just a second. It's also fascinating to see a 1940's film take such a lighthearted approach to marriage and adultery, and yet be a true celebration of love. And the subtle way this film uses color and set design to show the progression of time is just sublime. Don Ameche and Gene Tierney do eine work here, and the film is packed to the brim with incredible supporting actors. This film is a pure joy to watch, fun and with a lot of heart, and one where you really get the feeling that they don't make them like this anymore. #criterion #criterioncollection #heavencanwait #ernstlubitsch #genetierney #donameche #classichollywood #oscars #bestpicture #bluray #bluraycollector #bluraycollection #collecting #collector #collection #filmcollection #moviecollection #mycollection #films #film #movies #movie #cinephile #review #moviereview #filmreview

#alitabattleangel: I can’t compare this film with its manga source material, but it seems to me that Cameron and Rodriguez were the right team to bring this story to life in such a kinetically entertaining fashion. This isn’t cerebral or even highly original science-fiction. It’s sci-fi lite, designed to engage a young audience through pure escapism. On that level, Alita: Battle Angel succeeds in what it sets out to do. Read my full review at www.leonardmaltin.com. Les Chatouilles, Andréa Bescond, 2018. (Critique de novembre 2018) @andrea_bescond @ericmetayer4 @karinviard @gringe PARFAIT. INDISPENSABLE. BOULEVERSANT. #leschatouilles #danse #colere #andreabescond #ericmetayer #karinviard #cloviscornillac #pierredeladonchamps e #paris #autobiographie #pedophilie #emotion #performance #critique #critic #film #movie #moviecritic #critique #passion #art #cinephile #cinephage #paris #moviereview #cinephilecommunity #filmcritique #movielover #filmcritic #filmreview #critic #instamovie

9 is a rag doll that awakens somehow??? in a postapocalyptic future that holds the key to humanity's salvation among other ragdolls with all having numbers on them. It seems like a post human WWII vs. steampunk frankenstein machine in a made up fantasy world. Everything is very Tim Burtonesque. Not sure who this film is geared towards. There are humans dead in the beginning and some scray style deaths of dolls too. You can skip this film. (5 out of 10) voices of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly (PG-13) 2009. . . . . . #filmreview #film #movie #cgi #animation #computeranimation #ragdoll #machines #robots #steampunk

Movies 2019 - 53. Murder on a Sunday Morning (2001; directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade) . 🌮🌮🌮🌮 (4 tacos) . A Florida teenager is wrongfully accused of the murder of a tourist. Though it certainly seems like it, the fascination with true crime documentaries and miniseries isn’t really anything new. There have been books and documentaries covering shocking real-life cases for quite some time. With this current wave being propelled into the mainstream across various forms of media outlets, I was glad to be able to see one from the beginning of the century that I had never heard of, thanks to a recommendation from @saturdaymorninghorrors. There is certainly a sense of “I’ve heard this story before,” for those who are just now discovering this documentary. A young black teen is caught as a result of racial profiling, forced to confess (or forced to sign a confession never made), and put on trial. The good news here, though, is that he is found innocent — quickly — and the actual killer is found. . This kid, Brenton Butler, seems terribly distraught over everything happening to him from the very beginning. You can feel this severe ache coming from him, a pain someone of his age should not have had to experience. His legal team is a powerhouse. At times, both Patrick McGuinness and Ann Finnell seem both the slick, stereotypical defense attorney, but also profoundly emotionally attached people driven to prove the wrongdoings committed to their client, while proving his innocence. McGuinness, especially, is like a dancer in his arguments. He reminded me of Billy Flynn from Chicago, except actually doing some good. . I have two issues, one about the film, the other about the results of the case. I do wish we would have gotten to see a little more of the victim’s husband. I get in a film about proving a suspect’s innocence, a loved one is probably not all that willing to really talk with a production crew. I just can’t imagine the agony of being someone married to a woman for so long and to have her murdered right in front of you. . {{CONTINUED IN COMMENTS}}

UNDERRATED GEMS - #4 Today's pick - #HANNA - 2011 This film hit hard! Saoirse Ronan is spectacular in this. Totally believable and bad ass as a teen assassin. She was incredible in her stunts. Eric Bana was super good as per usual Eric Bana-like fashion. Loved Cate Blanchett as the villain. She was an awesome baddie. While I dont agree with Amazon's remake of the film into a series. It does look awesome and may benefit from a fleshed out 12 episode series. Also, the winner in this gem was the soundtrack. Incredible pulse pounding soundtrack from The Chemical Brothers. So good! #film #filmbuff #cinephile #filmcritic #filmreview #films #movies #steelbookcollector #steelbookcollection #steelbook

. . @prilaga #makeupreview #kidsfashionreview #bookreviews #swapreviewfree #preview #productreviews #restaurantreview #minireview #bookreview #mensfashionreview #natureview #swapreview #beautyreview #freeswapreview #menfashionreview #promotion #reviews #womensfashionreview #blog #igreview #prilaga #productreview #reviewig #filmreview #fashionreview #moviereview #foodreview #review #reviewthailand #malereviews

The most loved combo of Mollywood is back with a bang. Yes, it's the duo of Sreenivasan and Sathyan Anthikkad, the iconic duo that has left the audience in awe. Prakashan represents that typical Malayalee lad who wants to live his life to the fullest without moving a muscle. The poster symbolizes the life of Prakashan, running away from his responsibilities! There are numerous instances where you can relate the character to a typical Malayalee lad. Fahadh Faasil has played a simple yet elegant role. Devika Sanjay has had a dream debut, who has a pivotal role in transforming Prakashan's life. Sreenivasan has been the pick of the crew, who has scored both as a writer as well as a supporting actor. Credit also goes to Shaan Rahman for his aesthetic tunes, that goes well with the pace of the film. This movie has ended 2018 on a high for the Malayalam industry in what has been a rollercoaster ride. #nyanprakashan #fahadhfaasil #mollywood #malayalam #kerala #film #movie #moviereview #films #filmy #filmreview #filmbuffering

Don’t mistake this film for a clandestine attempt to advertise McDonald’s - it’s not! What it is, is an incredible insight into how it all began. Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) a struggling salesman, stumbles on a fast food restaurant run by the McDonald brothers, and wants help grow their business. Look out for the scene where Dick McDonald ( #NickOfferman)has the whole operation of service mapped out on the ground. Brilliant! ➡INSTAGRAM REVIEW( #037). ➡Titolo: "Blackkklansman". ➡Anno: 2018. ➡Regista: Spike Lee. #Movie, #film, #review, #moviereview, #filmreview, #view, #recensione, #recensioneitaliana, #blackkklansman, #spikelee, #oscar, #academyawards, #johndavidwashington, #adamdriver, #racism, #blacksploitation, #oscar2019.

'Melancholia' Micro-Review: "Director and writer 'Lars von Trier' grasps clumsily at concepts that are at best elementary existentialism and at worst insulting to the audience's intelligence. Despite this, though, Kirsten Dunst proves herself as a legitimate actress turning in the best performance of her career, even if it is a little rough around the edges.⠀ ⠀ It's easy to see what von Trier might have been going for with his vivid images in the first five minutes of the film, but it feels more pretentious than elegant, and it lays the groundwork for the rest of the story to tread on. 'Melancholia' is the kind of movie that people will insist they enjoyed and claim to be brilliant. Its condescending tone and glacial pacing, though, make it nearly impossible to recommend in good conscience. Essentially, it's a bad art house film that will find its niche among snobbish patrons who will obnoxiously argue its merits and supposed deeper meaning while sipping on overpriced imported beers and incorrectly throwing around the term “bourgeoisie.”⠀ ⠀ At its core, there was perhaps the potential for an interesting film in the idea that two worlds were going to collide. However, it’s so weighed down with unoriginal concepts that it fails to make any sort of memorable impressions at all.⠀ ⠀ Well, that’s not entirely true. I distinctly remember being very annoyed I sat through 'Melancholia.'⠀ ⠀ Read full review on starsandpopcorn.com!⠀ ⠀ #nowwatching #🎬 #moviebuff #movie #film #cinema #🎥 #filmlover #movieaddict #Melancholia #instacinema #filmbuff #filmreview #moviefan #moviegeek #moviereviews #currentlywatching #lovemovies #movienerd #filmgeek #moviejunkie #movie🎥 #filmreviews #movies🎬 #movieblogger #microreview #moviereview #whattowatch #starsandpopcorn

. Boy Erased (2019) Director: Joel Edgerton Review: Boy Erased is based off the true story of Garrard Conley who was sent to a gay conversion camp by his two religious parents, his experiences were harrowing and offered an insight into a secretive organization. Directed by the brilliant Joel Edgerton who previously directed The Gift and as an actor has been in many terrific films such as Midnight Special. Prior to watching Boy Erased, I had little understanding of the gay conversion camps, I of course had heard that they're bad places but nothing more. Boy Erased gave me an insight to the sadistic and delusional programme and the effects that it had on the people who went into it. From what I've heard The Gift is fantastic so you could say Joel Edgerton as a director is two for two. You can tell he gives his actors the room and support they need to flourish in their respective roles. Lucas Hedges plays Garrard Conley who was entered into the programme by his parents after he came out as homosexual to them. He's really emerging as one of the finest actors of his generation, such a raw, mature and natural performance from such a young actor. Of course Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe as the two parents really just give it their all, they're both outstanding. Their characters have to deal with their religious beliefs but also their love for their son, which come into conflict throughout the film. They encapsulate that struggle so brilliantly. They're all backed up by a very string supporting cast with Joel Edgerton specifically standing out to me, to give such a great performance while directing is never an easy feat so I give him all the credit.

2018 was a testament to a changing Bollywood and the same was even more visible in case of its female actors who have become more competent as thespians than as glam queens. Let's take a look at some of the best female acting performances that made a mark last year. Also, for the record, this listicle was my toughest of the three because there were too many marvellous performances to put out of it. Movies 2019 - 52. Foreign Correspondent (1940; written by Charles Bennett and Joan Harrison; directed by Alfred Hitchcock) . 🌮🌮🌮 (3 tacos) . A reporter attempts to expose enemy agents on the eve of the Second World War. If it weren’t for the ending of this film, I would have rated it maybe one entire taco lower. For a Hitchcock film, that makes me feel a little sad. The truth, however, is that Foreign Correspondent feels very clunky and bizarre, at times. Maybe bizarre is the wrong word. Cavalier may be more accurate. A man is blatantly shot in front of a large crowd of people. Everyone can see who did it and they watch as he runs through a crowd to escape WITH NO ONE ATTEMPTING TO STOP HIM, OR GET IN HIS WAY, OR JUST REACT THE FACT THAT HE MURDERED SOMEONE AT ALL. He crosses paths with a police officer who kind of looks at him, thinks over whether or not he should do something, slowly makes a decision, and is then shot by the bad guy. This gives way to a bizarre car chase where the bad guy car miraculously vanishes. To add to that whole sense of cavalier attitude, character’s smile and laugh when the threat of fear or violence appears. See those smiling faces on the poster? Not the first image that would come to mind when thinking about a political thriller from Alfred Hitchcock, but it is an image that appears constantly throughout this film. The ending, however, damn near saves the whole film. It is a thrilling, nail-biter of a climax that leaves you scratching your head how they were able to do such a scene in 1940. I give them much respect for that. If only the rest of the film was that good. Watching this makes me all the more excited to finally sit down with Rebecca soon. That film was Hitchcock’s other work from 1940, and one that earned the Best Picture Oscar. Maybe all of his skill and focus went toward that one. . #movies #movie #film #cinema #movies2019 #moviereview #moviereviews #moviebuff #filmtwitter #filmgeek #schmuckclub #movienerd #cinefile #cinephile #cinefilecommunity #cinephilecommunity #podernfamily #filmreview #moviecritic #filmcritic #movielover #movieaddict #movieenthusiast #review

Scenografia i charakteryzacje tworzą niesamowity klimat starej Ameryki. . „Green Book” to ciepła opowieść, mówiąca o ogromnym problemie i ludzkim okrucieństwie, ale i ludziach wartościowych, honorowych i dumnych, umiejących odpuścić w odpowiednim momencie 🙏 . ❤ . . . . . #moviejunkie #movienerd #moviegeek #movieaddict #instafilms #GreenBook #GreenBookmovie #GreenBookfilm #moviebuff #movielover #cinephile #cinephiles #filmgeek #filmnerd #filmaddict #filmreviews #filmreview #cinephilecommunity

This Is Spinal Tap (1984) David St. Hubbins: I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the band was down. I think that the problem *may* have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being *crushed* by a *dwarf*. Alright? That tended to understate the hugeness of the object. One of my personal favourite comedies of all time. I love my rock and roll and this film just focuses on what it would be like to be a rock and roll band failing and making complete fools of yourselves. For me, I do really like this film still but I don't think it really is a great film. It's a fantastic pisstake but the film likes to meander to tell rock and roll jokes a lot especially with the lead guitarist and bassist. The jokes do land, it's just there really doesn't feel as if there is a well developed core to this film. The main thing that I think they want you to be invested in is the bond between the guitarists but whilst I did enjoy their relationship, I don't think it was really interesting or dynamic to watch. But really, this is a film for fans of this kind of music which makes it very niche and a bit difficult to recommend I think. The jokes are great, the music's nice and the overall tone of it is refreshing. I think most people would enjoy this but I don't know, I'm a weird person when it comes to views sometimes. If you like the look of this film, go for it. It's pretty alright if you like slow comedies that don't rely on people shouting. #spinaltap #films #filmreview #film

On Wednesday night I watched Alita which I have been anticipating for a while. Like I have literally been so hype in the last few weeks. THE GOOD- Holy shit the fights in this were just insane. Absolutely perfect. There are 2 main scenes for me that stand out which are a particular bar fight that is in the movie and the motorball sequence that they had a sneak peak of. Like I had so much fun watching these 2 scenes, honestly i was probably more entertained then I have ever been at the movies watching those 2 scenes, but moving on now. Every fight scene is good. Each action sequence is so beautiful and so perfectly crafted. This film is gorgeous. Like it is actually insane how amazing the CGI is. So yeah the action and the visuals as everyone says are the highlights but there is a lot of other good. The world building is great. The emotion is great. You can feel for Alita so much, you can feel for a lot of people actually and each character some qualities that make them feel memorable(not all of them). Honestly I was a bit worried about the 2h20m runtime but I was never bored at all. Like the pacing gets a little weird in the last third of the movie(where the movie itself starts to crumble) but it never gets boring. THE BAD- Ok so my biggest complaint is probably just a compilation of things in the 3rd act. The plot starts to branch off and it all becomes a bit too much. I cant go into detail but the pacing seems to drastically speed up and then like stop and then speed up again and it just gets pretty jumbled towards the end. Then they have a part that is clear sequel bait but its not terrible. Like these complaints arent terrible dont get me wrong, there is nothing like straight up bad about this movie. But along with the pacing and plot towards the end there is a bit of a villian problem. Villain problem as in the higher up corporate assholes if you will of the villains that get the screentime. Like they honestly suffer from being there just a little when they just could have been introduced at the beginning and then left off because they add nothing except making you wish they had more screentime. CONCLUSION- I love this movie so much. 4.5/5 #alita

Betyg: +++

The Favourite: I 1700-talets England har drottning Anne tronen, medan nära vännen Lady Sarah styr landet i hennes ställe. Betyg: ++++ #thefavourite

Movie of the week: Manchester by the Sea Lee Chandler (Casey Affleck) works as a handyman and is not a very social guy. One day he gets a phonecall which makes him return to his hometown. Manchester by the Sea is a drama you will think of long after the movie has ended. I don’t want to say too much about the plot, but during the movie we get to know why Lee has become the person he is and it becomes quite clear why he hesitates to go back to where he grew up. What impressed me the most about this movie was that both the acting and plot felt real and something that could have happened. Casey Afflech as the main character, Lukas Hedges as his brother’s son and Michelle Williams as his ex-wife all are great. Actually Affleck won and both Hedges and Williams were nominated to Oscar for their roles in this movie in 2017. I won't lie, the sole reason I wanted to watch The Long Dumb Road [ @longdumb] was to see Jason Mantzoukas (I'm a sucker for those beautiful curls, defined nose, and somewhat gravelly voice). My expectations were low, as he often gets typecast as a psychotic dirtbag. Don't get me wrong, he's still a dirtbag in this flick, but this time his character actually has some depth! ° ° ° If you're a fellow fan, you probably know Mantzoukas shares no similarities to the roles he often plays. He's a charming, well-rounded, emotionally intelligent individual. His portrayal of Richard, the volatile wannabe-mentor to Nat [ @tonyrevolori], is still not the dynamic part he deserves; but you should definitely look into it to get a taste of his talent. ° ° ° While agoraphobia keeps me confined to my cave of isolation, I'll probably be sharing a lot of what I watch with you all. Stay tuned for more. 😎 Also, it was a treat for me, and any other @ahsfx fans, to see @taissafarmiga make an appearance. Oh yeah, and the plot's not bad either. 😝 ° ° ° #thelongdumbroad #comedy #dynamic #underratedactor #indiefilm #roadtrip #darkcomedy #moviereview #dysfunctional #jasonmantzoukas #indie #rafi #underrated #funny #loser #newmexico #filmreview #chaotic
