⠀ 10/10. Шаззел - гений!

OK, so the first two Wishmasters aren't perfect films, but they're fun and have really good special effects, so for the third one, let's add a nondescript, clichéd college kids. Yeah, now the hip young crowd who watched our movie has something to relate to. And let's replace Andrew Divoff, the best thing about the other two films, with some early 2000s sly British guy. So does that mean this is a different Djinn now? Because he acts totally different. He also doesn't command the screen or have any real identity to him. I also want to point out at first I hated the main character. She seemed so mean spirited, but after seeing how selfish and needy her boyfriend is, constantly demanding her attention and how her friends are so stock, the pretty girl with the douchy, comedic boyfriend. They literally tell her that if she doesn't want to lose her boyfriend, she has to tell him that she loves him. Yes, tell someone you love them even if you don't feel it, so you won't be alone. Construct a web of lies and false reality to not hurt another person's feelings. Ha, sorry about that rant, but this film was clearly made for the WB crowd of the early 2000s. It's like the worst episode of Buffy or Smallville. It has that kind of presence to it. The made for TV camera work, horrible, horrible special effects and bland, nothing characters. This was a tough movie to sit through. Did not like it one bit. #nowwatching #nowplaying #wishmaster3 #beyondthegatesofhell #chrisangel #jasonconnery #ajcook #tobiasmehler #johnnovak #artisanentertainment #vestronvideo #horror #horrormovie #horrorfilm #fantasy #bluray #blurayreview #moviereview #moviecritic #filmreview #filmcritic #cinephile #2001 #goonreviewswishmaster3

MOVIE REVIEW✏ . . John Wick Chapter 2 is directed by Chad Stahelski and stars Keanu Reeves, Common, and Ruby Rose as John returns to world of assassins to fulfill a marker given to him by a fellow hitman and escape an elaborate bounty placed on his head. This is another first time watch for me and why I have taken so long to get to this franchise, I can not really adequately answer, but I'm here now and glad I am, because this series continues to be awesome! In this entry, not only do we up the ante on the action, stunts, and fight choreography, but the secret world of the assassins and The Continental is further explored and elaborated on. An experience that, depending on your taste, either exceeds or is on par with the expectations set in the first film! . . Now as far as myself, I think I prefer the more grounded and realistic approach to the first installment. It kept the character of John Wick front and center, while keeping the mythology of The Continental and the assassin order more in the background. This one puts the world front and center, expanding and adding new layers and characters to the story, which is ultimately a good thing, but I felt Keanu's Wick took a little bit of a backseat as a result. Again, this isn't necessarily a negative, more than it is a preference. It kind of feels like that cool band you discovered years ago, before they became super famous, getting their first major record deal. The music is still awesome, but it's lost a little of the spark it once had. Anyway, I feel like I'm detracted from the awesomeness of this movie, because it's still one of the greatest action spectacles I've ever seen. . . Ruby Rose and Common are really great as the ancillary foils to Wick. Their chemistry and fight choreography with each other is off the charts excellent and leads to some of the more exciting sequences in the film. The cinematography here is amazing and gorgeous, which is a benefit of upping the production quality. The main villian is a little lacking and underdeveloped, but leads to a badass conclusion that opens the door for a lot of cool possibilities going forward. A worthy sequel, just not as good as the first. SCORE - 8.75/10

-REVIEW- Cinema #Rocketman (2019) directed by #DexterFletcher starring #TaronEgerton #JamieBell #RichardMadden & #BryceDallasHoward - RATING: 4/5🌟 - It's a little bit funny, I only knew 3 of the songs that played throughout this film and I literally had no clue whatsoever regarding Elton John's life. Unlike me being a Queen fan I knew half the story which meant that I could enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody a lot more without being too interested in the primary story. Instead, the less Americanized story of a British artist is much more grounded, emotinal, personal and extravagant. John's story is told in a much different way, not exactly documentary style with interviews or a nice n easy linear either but instead is Elton at downfall of his career, sat around talking to people about his problems. This came as a surprise to me as he pretty much narrates to us the story of him being a 5 year old boy, a child prodigy, being a back up band to finally becoming a global superstar. It goes back and forth between these events, even confronting his past self at points but at no point it loses the flow, which the only problem here is the film feels much longer than 2 hours, at one point it felt like a while had passed but there was still so much going on. The musical numbers here are a lot more frequent, some better than others but there's one thing they all had in common and that was that they were all so great to watch, it reminds me I still need to watch Fletchers earlier work like Sunshine on Leith, and I've watched a scene from that film and he pretty much replicates that multiple times and I loved it, especially at the begin of the film, the whole fairground scene was perfect. Think I'm finally getting a soft spot for these types of films. I don't quite get how this film received a 5 minute standing ovation at Cannes? Like it was pretty good but that was playing on my mind because there wasn't too much special here, other than the direction/camerawork and a very strong performance off Taron Egerton nothing else was too masterful to me, it didn't really make me feel much either, maybe the fact that we all know Elton was still living and kicking absolutely fine, and he's...

Sicario (2015) . Dir: Denis Villeneuve . 🎬 Sicario is probably one of the more underrated films in Villeneuve's ever increasing catalogue, and it carries with it throughout such an intense experience through its use of bellowing droning sound, thanks to Johansson's powerful score, and Blunt's character, where she tends to cop most of the negativity relating to this film, is in fact a powerful plot device that represents a broader spectrum of the US, and Villeneuve's ability to create beauty in tension is second to none ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2 . . . #sicario #denisvilleneuve #emilyblunt #beneciodeltoro #joshbrolin #danielkaluuya #thriller #crime #filmreview #moviereview #review #film #movie #cinema #filmoftheday #fotd #potd #cinephile #filmfan #moviefan #instafilm #reviewer #filmcritic

Movie Review📽️️️️️️️️️: THAT. WAS. INCREDIBLE! I don't know how they pulled together so many characters and callbacks into one cohesive and sensational epic, but they did. This film is a fitting end to Marvel's 11 year and 22 movie vision. It also contained some surprisingly accurate science (at times) and story arcs that made even my cold, dead heart feel something. Time to watch all the (good) Marvel movies over again!⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #moviereview #movies #cinema #film #cinephile #movie #films #instamovies #instaflick #filmreview #filmcritic #moviecritic #avengers #avengersendgame#captainamerica #ironman #blackwidow #marvel #thor #civilwar #hulk #spiderman #hawkeye

‘Matilda’ (1996, dir. Danny Devito) ✨ Nothing gets more nostalgic than the film that shaped your childhood - and that’s ‘Matilda’ to me. Matilda was all I wanted to be as a kid, and so this film is near perfect to me. Danny Devito is such an icon and his performance is hilarious, and Mara Wilson is such a wonderful child actress. The quotes are so memorable and often genuinely funny, and Miss Honey is a character that has influenced so many kids and adults into acting with more kindness and understanding. This film did a remarkable job of adapting the well-loved novel by Roald Dahl, and is able to appeal to both adults and children alike. I honestly adore it. Of course it’s not perfect - some of the best scenes from the book aren’t included, and some scenes feel a little out of place - but it’s pretty damn near to it. - - - This is my entry for @flowerynichee’s #flowery400 contest, in the theme nostalgia! - - - - - with pngs used from: @stupid.pngs @imisspolyvore2009 @wemalepngs @fearpng @pngvanilla @vintagepng - - - #movie #film #filmreview #moviereview #indie #moodboard #artsy #art #meme #png #picsart #nichememes #aesthetic #aesthetics #matilda #matildamovie #matildafilm #marawilson #dannydevito #matildareview

Movies 2019 - 157. The Nun (2018; written by Gary Dauberman; directed by Corin Hardy) . 🌮 (1 taco) . A priest and a young nun investigate a mysterious death at a Romanian convent. It’s always disappointing when the first film you watch after a bit of a break is even worse than you’d imagined it would be. The Nun is the odd horror film that would have worked far better as a themed haunted house attraction than it did as an actual movie. It seems to be less concerned with storytelling and filmmaking and more concerned with lackluster jump scares. Sure. In a dark theater surrounded by people, these jump scares may have been far more effective, but for those seeking a story beyond those simplistic freak outs, this isn’t the one for you. It’s a shame, too. This is the first Conjuring spin-off that I have seen so I can’t speak for the others, but with how competently the actual Conjuring franchise films are able to pull off solid scares while still telling a fun ghost story makes this all the more disappointing. The acting talent is wasted here, as both Damian Bichir and Taissa Farmiga are capable of far better things. It isn’t their fault as the script is a bumbling mess that fails to coherently set up the rules or the history to make anything really matter. By the film’s end, everything renders itself nonsensical, making it feel like a waste of a breezy ninety minutes. . #movies #movie #film #cinema #movies2019 #moviereview #moviereviews #moviebuff #filmtwitter #filmgeek #schmuckclub #movienerd #cinefile #cinephile #cinefilecommunity #cinephilecommunity #podernfamily #filmreview #moviecritic #filmcritic #movielover #movieaddict #movieenthusiast #review #horror #horrormovies #scarymovie #thenun

I watched Sorry To Bother You (2018) the other night, and...it was okay. It featured solid performances by everyone, and a very clever science fiction premise. I missed this movie throughout the year, only noticed it when it started popping up on people's best of year's list. . . I feel the current political/racial climate in this country might have led some cinephiles to overhype a film that while possessing some great moments, funny instances, and an unexpected visual pun on the expression workhorse, was just okay. . . Can't really say more than that it was competently made, and funnier than people might credit the film for, because a number of people that saw it read "serious" themes and subjects that even the writer/director himself says aren't there. Just enjoy it! . . That concludes RoboPulp's three paragraph review. Up next I'll try to watch Coraline Fargeat's Revenge.

Winter’s Bone - Review (52 Films by Women 14/52) An unflinching Ozark Mountain girl hacks through dangerous social terrain as she hunts down her drug-dealing father while trying to keep her family intact. Debra Granik does a great job at constructing a situational and character driven drama, that is both understated and slow burning, though a bit too much of a slow burn in places. The characters are all extremely interesting and you are thrown into this small town setting which keeps the film very grounded. The plot unfolds at a slow pace, which works for the most part but left me wanting more at too many points. There was also a lot of ambiguity which again is great for the most part, especially in this type of genre film, but it takes it too far in places. The whole film is held together by a terrific performance by Jennifer Lawrence - one that understandably launched her career. Lawrence’s whole sense of fearlessness and intelligence comes through so naturally in every scene that it really pulls you into the story. (It’s definitely up there as one of her best performances.) Winter’s Bone is a well written drama/thriller. I was invested in the characters and loved Lawrence’s lead performance but there just felt like there was something missing overall which took the film down a level. I’m glad I finally watched this, but it wasn’t nearly as perfect as Leave No Trace. 3.5/5.

Fracture (2007) 7.4/10 ➖ Overall, Facture is a great crime thriller with added amounts of Drama. The Mystery alone kept me wanting to see the film's ending, because, at times, you just weren't sure which way the film was going to end. Once you know the film's ending it will be hard to have a strong experience again. The film's ending does feel a little rushed and I wonder if the director had other ideas but struggled himself with deciding how to end it. 💢CHECK OUT THE FULL REVIEW ON FACEBOOK💢 . . . #anthonyhopkins @anthonyhopkins #ryangosling #fracture #lawyer #criminal #crime #murder #thriller #investigation #rosamundpike #movie #movies #filmreview #films #moviereview #finessemoviereviews #trial #court #porsche #murder #assult #glass #nurse #shooting #blood #coma #engineer #reeldvd #police

#Furie 2019 dropped on #Netflix yesterday and it was amazinggg. It had the stakes of #Taken and the intensity of #JohnWick with a #Vietnam backdrop. The film stars Veronica Ngo whose daughter gets kidnapped by an organ harvesting ring and she has to fight through gangland territories to find her. I remember the actress #VeronicaNgo from #StarWarsTheLastJedi" but I was not prepared for this!!! Definitely in my 2019 top 10! A trilogy of action movies that some how keep getting better and better. The action scenes are incredible as, The cinematography: the camera 🎥 movement, frames 🖼 and blocking gave the scenes such clarity, only complimented by the editing that knew when where and what to cut to. (And the best part NO up close cut cut shaky cam idiocy). The performances by the cast while not Oscar worthy in the slightest they more then make up for it with their charisma stunt work and the feeling that everyone is having a blast with their roles. The Story of John Wick 3 while followed it just fine especially being so absorbed into the world building 🗺 but for average movie 🍿 goers who are just jumping into the series might be a bit confusing as in the first one no executed it to have deep storytelling and lore. Overall I had a wonderful time even got meet some people and partook I’m great conversation and I’m giving the John Wick 3 Parabellum a 9/10 it would have been a 10 if my conversation with Nick Kroll and Paul Scheer went on a bit longer and didn’t end awkwardly. #movie #movies #moviereview #moviereviews #review #film #filmreview #keanureeves #action #actionmovies #stunts #stuntproformer #horsebackriding #attackdogs #dog #dogs #horses

Good Time- (2017) Since Robert Pattinson has been casted as batman I had to check out some of his other work besides Twilight. This movie was the most recommended. The reason why is because Pattinson has an incredible performance. The way Connie Nikas is portrayed as a character is addicting to watch. The story was well grounded and felt very visceral at times. I also loved how the story took place over less then a full day. Benny Safdie not only did a great job co-directing but an even better job acting when he was on screen. The messages of pain, family, and values are very prominent. In the end I was never scared of Robert Pattinson being batman, but now I am fully embracing it. Stuff I didn’t like: During the middle section of the movie the pacing becomes super slow. It’s quickly fixed though by a simple yet weird make out scene. The story also wasn’t the greatest, it wasn’t bad but it didn’t blow me out of the water. The acting was what really sucked me in. Rating: 8.5/10 Good Settlement #robertpattinson #goodtime #batman #dc #dccomics #robert #pattinson #film #acid #good #goodsettlement #movie #filmreview #moviereview #safdiebrothers #newyork #twilight

WALL-E is a movie. An animated science-fiction love story made by Pixar. So, what do we expect to see? A huge range of unique and loveable characters? Beautiful animation that is as close to total perfection as the human race can physically go? A story relatable to most with themes and messages as important as the air we breathe? Maybe even, a score so astounding and gorgeous hearing even a single note could drop suicide rates down to 0%? Yeah, my dude, it’s got all of that. That Pixar lamp obliterates the ‘I’ once again and gives us an extraordinarily well-made and nostalgic movie for the billionth time. . WALL-E is the main character. The star of the show. We follow this little trash compactor and watch him fall in love with another robot, stalk her, get rejected multiple times, drag her unconscious body around wherever he went then follow her home and nearly cause the collapse of an intergalactic human civilisation on her spaceship all because he craved some sweet, sweet hand-holding… That shit is fucking adorable!!! They fall in love eventually and it's heart-warming. There are some bumps, WALL-E nearly fucking dies and actually rejects her back in one of the most emotional scenes of the 21st century, but all is well in the end… It’s so simple, but we love Love so we love this love story! . On the other side of the story, we see this man vs machine, theme-ridden, utopian/dystopian sci-fi piece. It may take the complete piss out of the Western world and portray us as fat fucks who consume anything thrown in our faces, but Oh look, another love story, aww that shit cute :,) – its also simple as fuck, but the themes and messages are so important and current that unless you’re actually brain dead hopefully it’ll just seep into your brain and you’ll start caring for the environment. . But I can’t help feeling this is just a stretched out short film idea. I think this because the story is incredibly basic and the action in the film is very repetitive. Chase scenes, being clumsy, sweet love stuff and fat people being dumb. There is a lot of room for improvement in my opinion but honestly, WALL-E is an amazing film, but just isn’t as good as everyone is saying.

Score: 6.5/10 Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogan play their roles well in this biopic, and provide a good representation of the progression of Jobs and Wozniak and how they grew apart. However, the script wasn’t as engaging and even with a great cast that included Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels the movie just didn't have enough substance and depth to stand on its own merit. #film #filmreview #stevejobs #movie #moviereview #review #michaelfassbender #sethrogan

John Wick 3 is on par with its predecessors for bloody fun and a gory good time. I have respect for films that know what they are and wear that badge proudly. To its credit, the film is well-made enough not to be limited by the confines of just being a fun action film. There is so much art in its execution of that action that it gives you a new respect for the genre and makes you wonder how it can top itself. Chapter 4 was announced this week for May 21, 2021, and considering how this franchise has only gotten better with each entry, I’m all in on seeing where this goes next. .... head over to reeltalkinc.com to read the rest of the review

I'm back y'all with my review of Iron Man. I fucking love iron man for so many reasons. It birthed the entire MCU and was a REALLY great start to it. First of all... Robert Downey Jr. One of my favourite actors. Everything about him is just so god damn good. He is Tony Stark - he's certainly one of the best casting choices I've ever seen. I'm so glad they gave Robert a chance, he really deserved it. Okay so... this film is really fucking cool? I can't think of many films that have actually made me smile multiple times from the badassery. The first suit (WHICH WAS PRACTICAL BY THE WAY!), the design of the arms and legs without the actual armour, the silver suit, the suit up scene, IRON MONGER. Just ...ah everything about the suits 😩😩😩😩.So fucking hot. As for the story, yeah it's pretty good! Not great, but executed really really well with as I said, a lot of showing instead of telling. We know exactly who all of these characters are. Such a good job was done of building up Tony's character. After seeing this, I realised how much of a different person Tony is in Endgame. There's still traits like his wittiness in there, but his arc throughout the years is incredible, and the fact that consistency with some traits has been maintained is really impressive. So yeah, if you've never seen a superhero film and you want to start out with a not so serious one, then Iron man is the film for you. Check it out. Even if you've seen it, rewatch it. It's likely that you'll notice things you hadn't before! #movie #moviereview #film #filmreview #reviewer #cinema #theatre #ironman #robertdowneyjr #mcu #superhero #marvel #iloveyou3000 #avengers #captainamerica #endgame #avengersendgame

Equinox Flower (1958) Japan Month Film 11 —- I want to like Ozu more than I do. It seems telling that once I really got into older Japanese films over the past few years I devoured the works of Akira Kurosawa, Masaki Kobayashi, and Kenji Mizoguchi and yet this is only my fourth Ozu film. "Tokyo Story" is phenomenal, and his style of film-making is gorgeous and comforting in a way I've encountered with no other directors, but his stories simply don't grip me (bar "Tokyo Story") the way others do.
This movie is fine, but its focus seems misplaced. The warmth and heart of the story only ever seems to come alive when Wataru (the lead) is dealing with other people's children. Whether it's the single daughter of a sickly woman who jokes with him and he tells to follow her heart, or the daughter of a friend who suffers after running away from home for love. He shares no such warmth or interest in his own daughter Setsuko, and yet its this relationship that's at the center of the film.
The film seems to be built around showing him he's a hypocrite for rooting for these other women to marry their own way, while blocking his daughter from doing the same, but he stubbornly refuses to budge for so much of the film that it just becomes boring. Every character's story but his is more interesting and has more obvious stakes. So little is Setsuko focused on that she disappears from much of the end of the plot. It's not a bad film, to be clear, and I seem to be in the minority for not loving it, but it was not as enjoyable as I'd hoped.
Everyone's kimonos were spectacular. —- #equinoxflower #criterioncollection #criterionchannel #ozu #japanesemovie #japanesecinema #yasujiroozu #akirakurosawa #masakikobayashi #kenjimizoguchi #letterboxd #filmreview #kimono

'You had never had a friend like me' ⬇️ . . . Disney is back with another film adaptation from their impressive repertoire. This time it is Aladdin's turn to wander trough the streets of Agrabah with his 'partner in crime' Abu. Nothing seems to stop him until he falls for the beauty of Jasmin. The beautiful world and swinging music immediately create a real Disney feeling. Do you have to check the film soon? Check the pros and cons: . . . Pros + Perfectly selected actors for almost every role + Will Smith as The Genie + CGI / Special effects + The music + A real Disney atmosphere + Fun for young and old . . . Cons - The character Jafar was hardly deepened. The average viewer is left with many questions about him - The well-known songs can sometimes be experienced as an interruption . . . Conclusion The doubts I had about this film disappeared almost immediately after the it started. I was taken into a musical and visual spectacle in which the actors really come into their own. The biggest surprise was Will Smith's fantastic work as a the Genie who is very well developed with CGI. Don't hesitate and let Disney take you into the world of Aladdin. . . . (of course except perhaps film buffs) Distribution with this film got so stupid that the Production company completely gave up on this gem of a film. Jeremy Renner owned the screen in this, as he does in most of his films. He was phenomenal in this film, which is based on a true story on Gary Webb, wild story. Things were freaking intense for sure in this. Loved this film a lot. also included such a good cast. #cinema #movie #movies #film #films #cinephiles #cinemalover #cinematography #senzaunfilodiclasse #instacinema #movielover #popcorn #filmreview #cultmovie #filmfan #director #movieaddict #movielife #instamovies #instamovie #instafilm #instaactress #instaactor #georgesegal #ruthgordon #cinephilecommunity #carlreiner #wherespoppamovie #robreiner #3_motivi_per_vederlo_oppure_no

EXTENDED REVIEW: Watching the trailer and reading the synopsis, it’s easy to tell that this movie is no summer blockbuster, but that doesn’t mean it’s the worst film you’d have seen. The movie relies on very basic concepts - the boy and the girl meet and fall in love - but that doesn’t define what it is. It’s very small, no doubt about that, but it’s extremely cute and cosy that defiantly wouldn’t work as a movie to watch in the cinema. But in the comfort of your own home? Perfect. Watching it with a partner or watching it with a best friend is the way to go. The leads, Chris Evans and Alice Eve, have brilliant, charismatic natures all the way through with Chris’s character having such a refreshing old soul through not only his clothing but through his music, though some of this was done in a cheesy way. However, it would be a lie not to say you still feel like you’re watching Captain America on the small screen (sorry Chris). But this movie does have secrets and conspiracy’s and enough for you to not want to turn the movie off. It has moments of heart, moments of laughter, moments of tears. It feels like a fantastical take set in the realist setting of New York. But, as cute and comfortable as you could say it is, it’s not a huge film that doesn’t feel memorable at all. The low budget of only $3 million comes out in the overall quality of the movie, though you wouldn’t be able to do an awful lot with the movie anyway with a high budget. The camera movements were often wobbly and off putting while the colours always felt obscure and often caused your eyes to need adjusting for a second. In terms of the story itself, it’s very familiar with copies of some of the typical plots from other movies often involved. Though it can have an opposing take on these things, it defiantly nothing too new. . . Quality: 43% . Enjoyment: 65% . Overall: 54% . . What did you think about before we go?

Prospect (2018) IMDb states, "A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. They've secured a contract to harvest a large deposit of the elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon's toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive." This film follows that old style western-thriller format. There's dirty, theiving prospectors vs the ranch hand who's basically marooned on a foreign moon. Starts slow with some old school type of 1960's style astronaut outfits, and space vehicles, and some 1970 style planet graphics. A Very indie style space film, smartly filmed, well acted, but somewhat slow. All the props, suits, and sets were made by cosplayers, carpenters, industrial designers, and mechanics. Pedro Pascal is still one of my favorite actors of the present. (R)(5 out of 10) Starring Sophie Thatcher, Pedro Pascal, Jay Duplass, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand . . . . #movie #film #moviereview #filmreview #drama #scifi #thriller #independentfilm #western @soapy.t @pascalispunk @jayduplass @fandango

Fate of the furious ⭐⭐⭐ Another strong installment in the fast and furious franchise, not the best one however but one of the best. These movies have always since five stepped up the action and this one is no exception it's ridiculus and bonkers and I love it. The car chases are fantastic and I can't praise the finale enough like something from James Bond. Performances are fine except Theron who stands out as the best villain of the francise she was phenomenal. Beautiful, sexy, dangerous, smart, resourcful she always has a plan b. And is only the second one since Deckard Shaw in 7 to really outsmart Dom. Wish Deckard had stayed a villain is my only gripe. Great action, great performance by Theron and a fun ride. #moviereview #movie #movies #filmreview #film #cinema #review #films #moviereviews #movielover #filmreviews #reviews #podcast #moviereviewer #moviebuff #filmcritic #movienight #cinephile #movierecommendation #fateofthefurious #fast8 #fastandfuriouscast #fastandfurious #charlizetheron #dwaynejohnson #drivingfast #jasonstatham #fastandfuriousactors #bhfyp

-REVIEW- Cinema #Aladdin (2019) directed by #GuyRitchie starring #MenaMassoud #NaomiScott #MarwanKenzari #BillyMagnussen & #WillSmith - RATING: 4/5🌟 - With many remakes coming out many people would re-familiarize themselves with that original (in good time) or at least watch it for the first time but I'm from the weird bunch that hasn't done the latter. So I went into Aladdin unaware of what to possibly expect besides from the rags to riches story arc. I'll get to the original one day. The title character Aladdin is a small time theif who without question saves Disney Princess Jasmine from trouble after a run in with an angry shop keeper. The two go about doing this n that but Jasmine, due to her status must marry royalty. The new lovers fall apart and Aladdin begins to take risks but he's bound to get in trouble and he does, villainous Jafar takes him to a cave to retrieve a magical artefact, a lamp thousands of years old. To be honest most of you know the plot, and we'll get to the themes later. So, the biggest social media debate I had saw leading up to this film was regarding Will Smith's blue Genie, it could go either way of being a terrible cringe fest or actually pretty cool, I found it quite and he was much better, funnier and even relatable than I was expecting. He's easily a character and a casting that people aren't gonna get along with, but you've gotta be open and when you watch the film you can see that Smith is having one hell of a time playing this character. The rest of them were a mixed bag, Aladdin and Jasmine we're very likable and I really found myself rooting for them, both Massoud and Scott gave some good performances with believable chemistry and it was one of a number of things that were better than I expected. The rest were okay, Jafar another standout though was he a good character or a bad one? I literally have no idea, by far the cringest part to the film and had a motive to common but I was just so conflicted when he came on screen, guess I'll wait until I see what everyone else says. In terms of world building it was very good, the city looked marvellous and you get a feel that it's part of so much more, it's not just a usual...

REVIEW: Avengers: Endgame (2019) [8.0/10] The closing chapter of the Infinity Saga doesn't demand your respect or appreciation but certainly deserves it. Balancing more characters than in Infinity War, it impressively captivates the tone of each characters' respective film(s) and constructs it's own narrative at a great pace, resultingly never feeling like the longest MCU movie. It's emotional, memorable and original despite being the aculmination of a decade of Marvel movies. It's only major flaws are in it's insistence on improvising a battle sequence when the script really doesn't ask for it, and that it's reliance on 20+ predecessors prevents it from being close to a masterpiece. If you're up to date with the MCU, you owe it to yourself to see it whether your experience with the franchise is positive, negative or indifferent. #movie #film #moviereview #filmreview #mcu #marvelcinematicuniverse #marvel #cinephile #cinephilecommunity

I loved this film 💖 I’d been so excited about watching it as I love anything Taron Egerton is in- he is such a talented and versatile actor. This did not disappoint! I switched between having a huge beaming grin on my face to a tear in my eye. The colour and energy was stunning. The storytelling was great, and the way the songs were incorporated was so smooth and seamless. The highs and lows were dealt with equally brilliantly. TERMINATOR : DARK FATE In the beginning when I heard about a new terminator movie I was like "do we really need it" but seeing this trailer got me like "Damn straight we do". And this eerie sound score for the trailer just got me all shades of happy. Sarah Conner and T800 are back. Even though it's been Almost 36 years since the first Terminator movie, Linda Hamilton still looks as badass as ever( Dang mehn). I am super hyped to see Schwarzenegger and Hamilton show them young folks how it is done. DARK FATE picks up more than two decades after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This time, Sarah Connor sets out to protect a young woman named Dani Ramos and her friends as a liquid metal Terminator sent from the future attempts to terminate them. Even though James Cameron directed the previous Terminator movies, this time he only comes in as co-storyteller and producer alongside David Ellison. The movie is directed by Deadpool director Tim Miller. Terminator :Dark Fate is set for worldwide theatre release in November 2019.
