Mobile Etiquette Tips during Business Meetings -
1- put your mobile on total silent (not even vibration)
2- In case you are expecting an urgent call and you need to put your mobile on vibrate mode so you will be alerted once you receive the call, 1st make sure to mention it before the meeting begins, 2nd don’t put it on the table, keep it in your pocket or on the chair, to avoid causing disturbance and distractions.
3- When receiving this Urgent call, excuse yourself and exit the meeting room.
4- Put your mobile away, in your pocket or in the bag.
5- In case you’re using your smartphone’s camera, calculator or calendar, it’s Ok to keep it on the table but make sure it’s on Silent mode and screen face down.
6- Don’t check your mobile under the table, it’s discourteous to the speaker and distracting to other people.
7- Checking your messages and emails during a meeting or browsing your Social Media sends a signal that the people in the room are not important to you.
