Want my egg muffin recipe?? I’m not sure when I’ll get it up on the website, so thought I’d share here. Make sure to click the save button on this post! 😊 . - 12 eggs - 16oz frozen broccoli - 1 package bacon (8 pieces) - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded . Cook the bacon until it’s crispy and cooked, then crumble it up. While the bacon is cooking thaw the broccoli in a colander under cool water. Add the eggs to a mixing bowl or large (4-cup) measuring cup and whisk until beaten. . Preheat oven to 350F. In a 12-cup muffin pan add several pieces of thawed broccoli to a each cup (note: you could also use fresh, lightly steamed broccoli). Then top with a sprinkle of crumbled bacon and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Fill the cups 80% full with beaten eggs. Bake the egg muffins for 25 min or until done. Enjoy! . Looking for a fun way to incorporate more fiber and protein into your sweet treats? Try this CHICKPEA COOKIE DOUGH 🍪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I took a tip from @frommybowl and gave this a try and it was delicious 😋 It’s not overly sweet, light, and similar texture to cookie dough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I ended up using canned chickpeas which does leave a subtle lingering “bean” flavor but you can also soak + cook your own chickpeas from scratch! Modified recipe below but you can find Caitlin’s full recipe on her blog. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To make the CHICKPEA COOKIE DOUGH, you will need: • 1 can organic chickpeas (drained, rinsed, and soaked in water 12 hours) • 1/4 cup tiger nut butter (can sub cashew or almond butter) • 1/4 cup organic maple syrup • 1/4 cup organic almond flour • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract • Pinch of @redmondrealsalt • 1/2 cup @enjoylifefoods dark chocolate chips ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Drain and rinse chickpeas and soak in a sealed container with water overnight (this helps to get rid of some of the excessive “chickpea taste). You can also soak and cook your own chickpeas if you don’t use canned! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a large food processor, combine chickpeas, tiger butter, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt. Pulse blend until texture is smooth (you may need to use a spatula to move content around). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One blended and smooth, fold in dark chocolate chips and serve! Store in the fridge up to 4 days. Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Lunch today is shredded rotisserie chicken with roasted turmeric chickpeas, cucumber, avocado and olives over mixed greens with a light drizzle of red wine vinegar and evoo. This is another GERD friendly meal and it really hit the spot! I packed it in a meal prep container because I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat the entire thing in one sitting so I can snap on the cover and nibble on the rest later. One of the keys to preventing acid reflux when you have a chronic condition is to eat smaller meals and snack throughout the day. Hope you’re having a great day!

Chia seed pudding has been my favorite on the go breakfast for working mornings! What I love is the toppings and mix ins are endless; blueberries, granola, peanut butter, or cinnamon anything goes :) Recipe: -1 cup of cashew milk -1/4 cup of chia seeds -1 scoop of protein powder (I used vanilla) Mix the protein powder and milk first then stir in the chia seeds last. Let the pudding set up overnight and stir in the morning to make sure it’s well combined and you’re ready to go!

Sometimes all you need is a good book to get those internal wheels to start spinning. This summer I picked this book up at Walmart on a whim while working on my self love journey and have felt the most motivated I’ve ever been in my whole life. I really hope to buy more books by this author because she speaks to me on a level no one else has been able to before. Anyway, the point of this post is to state we all have things that motivate us whether it’s a book, playlist, mantra, or even a treat at the end of the day, but no matter what no one’s motivation is exactly the same. 🤩 Sunday healthy TIP: Small change, big impact! 🌸 . Did you ever wish there was just a small thing that could make a eorld of difference in your health and diet? Read on, my friend ☺️ . Back in January, I’ve shared my 2019 intention of quitting alcohol. Well, I did, almost totally: the only time I find myself unable to forego a bit of champagne is when celebrating - a birthday, a special occasion of, like yesterday, my daughter’s first paid working day! I think it’s a matter of superstition … But even in those occasions (about 3 or 4 since January), I don’t do more than a couple of sips. . This resolution has had an amazing impact on how my body feels and also my mind. Here are the main benefits I can identify: 1. Quitting alcoholic beverages is one of the best ways to radically reduce the amount of sugar you eat daily so, less pressure on the scale. 2. No more difficult hangover mornings, stumbling out of bed, hitting body parts on the door because you can barely open your eyes. 3. Good bye red blotchy face and puffy eyes. Who needs them?? 4. The mood is way better… Did you ever realize that alcohol induces depression? Just like any excess sugar - or even worse - alcohol allows you a quick high, followed by a huge crash. Oh boy, this crash was tough, believe me. . But then, what should you drink? Well, I would say the optimum is to drink WATER at all times! It doesn’t have to be boring: 🥒 Be creative, add natural flavors, just like this one, with cucumber. 🍋 Flavor a mix of lemon or lime juice with sparkling water as you would do to a gin & tonic. 🍅 Or revive the 70’s mood with a seasoned tomato juice - a bit of salt, pepper and tabasco or cayenne. . If you do this most of the times, you will be able to enjoy an occasional glass of wine, always with your meal, or as I do, the occasional sip of champagne to celebrate life’s best! . Best way to start the day with @gogoquinoa blueberry pancakes & my beauty & health power coffee! These pancakes are so quick to make, just almond milk, 1 egg (or flaxseed egg) vanilla, organic blueberries & the gogo quinoa pancake mix that’s high in protein & dairy & gluten free! It uses brown rice flour & quinoa flour 😍 the blueberries in the batter as opposed to on top as a compote really make these pancakes moist & sweet . I didn’t even need to put some maple syrup on top!

All you have to do is beat the egg white, add in the water, & then the protein powder. It will make a thick pudding consistency. Pop that down in the center of a waffle iron for 4-5 minutes & you’ve got yourself a gluten free, low carb, high protein waffle/bread substitute 🥖 🍞 . . To answer the question I know many of you have, no, you cannot use whey protein. It has to be casein. A blend may work, I’ve never tried it so I can’t say for sure. Casein has a different protein structure than whey & it forms tight clumps when mixed w/ water, making it suitable for the waffles. It is definitely worth the price of the casein protein powder just to make these waffles. Like I said, I make one of these just about every night and it is great for you who are trying to increase lean body mass to do the same. . Casein protein has a slower release of amino acids than whey protein. So for those of you who don’t know, proteins are made of amino acids & these amino acids are what we use to build new proteins in our bodies. Casein is a globular protein and it forms a tight clump when we ingest it. It takes longer for our bodies to break it down and retrieve the amino acids from it. This makes it really good to eat before bed because you’re going to be fasting for 8 hours or so. This means that your body would be going for 8 hours without any protein to supply amino acids to your blood to repair and build new muscle. Taking some casein right before bed will prolong the supply of amino acids into your blood!!

Follow @theketobible for more keto tips, tricks, and recipes. 💪🏼 . 👨🏼‍🍳Recipe: . 1.Start with some wild deveined shrimp and toss with some olive oil, sea salt, fresh pepper, garlic powder, a little paprika. Experiment & have fun with what you like though. Mix everything well & let sit. . 2.Take a large pan and add 1 or 2 tablespoons olive oil + 1 tbsp minced garlic. After a few seconds, add the shrimp and cook for about 1-1.5 minutes on each side. Don’t overcook as it turns rubbery. Set aside. . 3.In a large bowl, add your greens + veggies. I used a big base of @josiesorganics arugula and added fresh watercress, 🥑, sliced jalapeños (deseed these if you dont like it super spicy), some cucumbers. You can add anything you have on hand. . 4.Next is the dressing. I used 2 tablespoons high quality velvety tahini, 1 tablespoon olive oil, juice from 1/2 large lemon, sea salt, 1 tsp freshly minced garlic, and about 1 tablespoon of finely chipped fresh cilantro. Mix everything together, then taste. You’ll have to add more tahini/oil/lemon/salt/herbs based on your preference if you’d like. Everyone is a bit different. . 5.Add the shrimp, add your desired amount of dressing, and mix everything well. I then topped with some sesame seeds.
