If I paint flowers all over the walls of my house, will spring come faster? 🌺 So in love with the #sfflowerhouse! Who wants to move in?

Are you enjoying my journey of beautiful colors? I think the winter has me antsy for spring and color. So I live pretty close to San Francisco and I’m so impressed with how amazing they are. This photo is from @patrix15 and if you love shots of fun houses then you’ll love her IG account! I need to grab my camera and take a special trip into the city to photograph all the cool and colorful houses! Does anyone know how the pretty houses in San Francisco became colorful? . . Ok working on my Valentine’s Day project. I decided to make it a bigger project since it didn’t quite feel complete. I’ll be making more felt flowers tonight! Do you like to make wreaths? . . . Have a cozy evening! . . . #sanfrancisco #mysanfrancisco #alwayssf #bestofbayarea #nowrongwaysf #onlyinsf #california_igers #sf_insta #sfbay #sanfranciscobay #californiacaptures #visitcalifornia #bayarea #californialiving #californiaholics #howsfseessf #californialife #explorecalifornia #thesanfrancisco #dscolor #abm #dailydoseofcolor #ihavethisthingwithcolor #colorsplash #abmlifeiscolorful #curbed #caligrammers #streetsofsf #california4fun #abmlifeissweet

Money lives in New York. Power sits in Washington. Freedom sips cappuccino in a sidewalk cafe in San Francisco. What's your favorite city in the US? I used to love New York more than any city in this world. But I have to admit, San Francisco slowly stole my heart ❤️ I just can't get over how beautiful this city is 😍

🌄 On Edge . . . WARNING: incoming retrospect. One thing that 2018 made clear to me is the massive importance of embracing your edge and learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Today we’re encouraged to think the world is dangerous, we’re enabled to be comfortable at home, and we’re conditioned to consume. So why take risks, feel discomfort, or battle fears when we really don’t have to anymore? . . I think as a result many of us at times (myself included) “live lives of quiet desperation” while we make excuses or convince ourselves we are content with a safe and predictable path, and we’ll be fine if we just play by the rules. The irony? In our hearts none of us actually aspire to be anyone that exists in that space. This complacency takes form in our jobs, relationships, lifestyles, muted personalities, lack of creativity, world-view, or deficiencies in our ability to grow/change. . . I’m starting to accept the hard truth that being uncomfortable and constantly approaching our edge is where we discover who we are, what we love, and through attrition craft the lives we really want to live. The crazy thing is that for 1000s of years the world was designed to push us there… but now, it seems we have to go against our nature and push ourselves there. Lately this has been on my mind a lot wishing I’d done more sooner, and wishing I’d be at that edge more often today... Food for thought for 2019 💭

Title: “Sunny Jim” Caption: what San Diego cave search would be complete without a visit to @thecavestore to see old Jim Measurements: 20mm,f8, 20sec Captured: 12/24/18 Notes: I really do love the silhouette of this cave. For a tourist attraction I thought this was just awesome. If only all caves were this easy. A high-pitched whistling sound made while breathing: When I drove into Yosemite last month I quickly encountered smoke from the controlled burns they do in the off-season. Once finding out this I was pretty fearful as the smoke seemed to seep into most parts of the valley and I wanted to be able to rest without smoke inhalation. Thankfully the smoke stopped mid-air a quarter mile from our campsite. I still had to check out what the smoke would provide in the middle of the night, not to my lungs, but to the park. It ended up creating an illuminating layer of light from the moon, sending off both creepy and enthralling views. 1:45 a.m. • Yosemite

One of the more dramatic views in the Sierra Nevada is Convict Lake, a short drive south from Mammoth. The lake gets its name from an encounter between law enforcement and some prison escapees in the late 1800s. It has some of the best reflections in the state! . . . . #convictlake #mammoth #mammothlakes #sierranevada #easternsierra #hwy395 #us395 #greatbasin #californialove #california_igers #californiadreaming #californialiving #californiaadventure #californiaholics #californiacaptures #californiaphotographer #californiaphotography #landscape #landscapephotography #naturephotography #getout #getoutdoors #earth_shotz #916igers #sacigers #neverstopexploring #ig_nature #naturegram

I believe the most transcendent action one can do is ask how your day is going or how you’re feeling. That genuine insight into the present, asking you to get honest, to forget the aesthetics and instead generate a truthful response which may lead to a sincere conversation.. . It’s important to give yourself love. Real, whole, glowing love. When you extend that energy to others, that’s some therapeutic energy.. . #forest_captures #forest🌲 #outdoors #nature #beautifuldestinations #californiacaptures #wanderlust #naturegram #goodvibes #foggy #carmelbythesea #foggymorning #travel #whywetravel #livemoremagic, #livethelittlethings, #thehappynow, #montereycalifornia

The San Francisco Ferry Building is a terminal for ferries that travel across the San Francisco Bay, a food hall and an office building. It is located on The Embarcadero in San Francisco, California. On top of the building is a 245-foot-tall (75 m) clock tower with four clock dials, each 22 feet (6.7 m) in diameter, which can be seen from Market Street, a main thoroughfare of the city. Designed in 1892 by American architect A. Page Brown in the Beaux Arts style, the ferry building was completed in 1898. At its opening, it was the largest project undertaken in the city up to that time. Brown designed the clock tower after the 12th-century Giralda bell tower in Seville, Spain, and the entire length of the building on both frontages is based on an arched arcade. .

The Chinatown centered on Grant Avenue and Stockton Street in San Francisco, California, (Chinese: 唐人街; pinyin: tángrénjiē; Jyutping: tong4 jan4 gaai1) is the oldest Chinatown in North America and the largest Chinese enclave outside Asia. It is the oldest of the four notable Chinatowns in the city. Since its establishment in 1848,it has been highly important and influential in the history and culture of ethnic Chinese immigrants in North America. Chinatown is an enclave that continues to retain its own customs, languages, places of worship, social clubs, and identity. There are two hospitals, numerous parks and squares, a post office, and other infrastructure. While recent immigrants and the elderly choose to live here because of the availability of affordable housing and their familiarity with the culture, the place is also a major tourist attraction, drawing more visitors annually than the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street between Clay and Washington Streets in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States, is a 48-story futurist building and the second-tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline. Its height is surpassed by Salesforce Tower. The building no longer houses the headquarters of the Transamerica Corporation, which moved its U.S. headquarters to Baltimore, Maryland, but it is still associated with the company and is depicted in the company's logo. Designed by architect William Pereira and built by Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company, at 853 feet (260 m), on completion in 1972 it was the eighth-tallest building in the world. . .

North Beach, a buzzy neighborhood steeped in Italian heritage, draws locals and tourists to its checked-tablecloth trattorias, coffee shops and retro-flavored bars. The spirit of the Beat Generation can be felt at the storied City Lights bookstore and the memorabilia-filled Vesuvio Cafe bar. In Telegraph Hill the Filbert Steps offer a scenic hike to the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views.
