We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us. This was a surreal experience. It’s hard to describe this moment... Hovering above the water while wrapped in white linens is something you can’t sufficiently put into words. It’s something to be experienced. It’s another reminder that this is Where Life Meets Living..
. . . . . Big thanks to @theedaveywilly for the custom white pillows.

Começamos a nossa Passagem por Mykonos escolhendo o nosso conjuntos Colombian.. . . . #bydstravel #mykonos #greece #blacktravelfeed

Accurate? In the mirror is Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s President from 1987-2017. In front of the mirror is Mnangagwa who overthrew Mugabe in 2017 via a military coup. Mugabe is a polarizing figure in Africa. On one hand, he is a villain to many in Zimbabwe due to his strong-arm policies, but he’s also a hero to many on the continent for fighting economic colonization in the post-colonial era in Africa (unlike some other countries). Many in Zim were hopeful when Mugabe was removed that Zimbabwe could turn into the economic powerhouse its capable of. However, it seems that the new regime may be a replica of the old with the latest crackdown on protest.

I keep a notebook beside my bed as ideas and wisdom come randomly. Here, I didn’t jot down ideas, to-do lists, or things to purchase. With unfolding sunsets 🌅 and a sea of blue hues 🌊 I made note of the emotions I’ve felt and how I could bring them home with me. This was a simpler task than I thought. It’s merely controlling your focus and managing your thoughts, and thinking about the things I could see🍃, touch, hear, and taste in those days. I’m choosing to keep this method in my wheelhouse so when stress and anxiety come through (as they always be creepin 😂) I can combat them with the quickness. Just accept that you are doing what you can and you have the capacity to handle it 🌺 . . . #puertorico #sanjuan #sanjuanpuertorico #focus #breathe #writerscommunity #condado #culebra #flamencobeach #beach #sunset #dametraveler #dametravel #blackgirlstravel #travelnoire #blacktravelfeed #darlingescapes #igpuertorico #ladiesgoneglobal #citizenfemme #girlslovetravel #prettylittletrips

Meet our first traveler featured in our #fearlessblackgirltraveler series @londonvall. . . . Hello I am @londonvall, I'm currently a first-year student at Harvard University studying aerospace engineering and international relations. I began traveling internationally with my family when I was 7, traveling alone when I was 14, and traveling alone internationally when I was 16. I've been to 17 countries so far on 4/7 continents. Traveling has had such a huge impact on my future career goals and how I see myself in the world. Traveling with my family gave me the opportunity to see a world beyond my own country and to understand that there are value lives and cultures beyond my own. Traveling by myself definitely gave me the confidence to recognize my power and competence as a budding young adult. And travelling solo internationally allowed me to see how I am able to fit into a world beyond the US. When I was 16, I went to Ghana and Tanzania to teach at two local primary schools and to work against the child slave and female genital mutilation and to recognize that I had the ability to help a part of the world that I had never seen myself be a part of before helped me to realize that the world really does belong to everyone. You aren't confined to your town or city or state or county. . . The entire world is yours to explore and there is just so much to explore that you'll never be disappointe. . . . #blackgirltravelslay #blackgirlmagic #blacktravelgram #blackgirlsrock #blacktravelfeed #blackgirlsrock #inspire #create #blacktravelista #harvard #fearlessblacktraveler

- Stand in the middle of Times Square. . CHECK. . . On a cold, winter night in New York city, two women stumbled into a scene of bright lights and vivid color... Welcome to Times Square, NYC. A place where you don't need extra light for your selfie. A world where you may see your name in neon. A not-even-close-to-square set of blocks filled with hopes, dreams, fanstasies...loud chatter, random selfie sticks, flash mobs, a man dressed as the statue of liberty, a group of Avengers, Olaf and Minnie Mouse as the new IT couple...lol...anything you can think of. . . If crowds aren't your thing, don't go. You will be on too of people on every corner. Also, there are multiple platforms for crowd-less photos. Otherwise, prepare to have strangers in your shot. . . All in all, happy to check this off the list...but never have to come back. 😊🍎 . . . . #traveler #travelnotebook #instatravel #manhattan #wanderlust #explorenewyorkcity #newyork #dametraveler #femaletravelbloggers #solofemaletravel #travelblog #travelnoire #iamtravel #girlslovetravel #blackgirlswhotravel #blackgirlstraveltoo #blacktravelfeed #blackgirlswhoblog #blackandfly #sheisnotlost #timessquare #letsgoeverywhere #travelisthenewdrug #photography #travelphotography #iloveny #newyorkcity #ny #newyork_instagram

My instagram has grown a lot in the last month and I’m so grateful 💖🥰 I’ve worked so hard on creating my blog and taking the best content I can, and when it gets noticed and appreciated, or when I get messages saying that someone has been somewhere because of my content, I could actually cry! I’ve noticed though, as I said a few weeks ago in my story, that there have been some weirdddd accounts following me, and I’m having to block them ONE BY ONE every single day! It is SO annoying...accounts like ‘world record egg’ and ‘djeke286.000’ or whatever. So here I am, DUSTING them off because I absolutely do not want spam accounts following me! Hold tight all you real ones 💖💖💖💖

As promised!!! Video 1 & 2 is Edward educating tf outta me. I want to help you understand this convo deeper, before the video was recorded it was a deeeeep discussion. Jesus was originally from the Solomon Islands because Solomon Islands was originally a part of Israel, but when plate tectonics happened....Jesus was Melanesian, who are the blackest ppl, therefore he was blonde they got that right, BUT HE WAS ALSO BLACK Video 3: was when I painted the nails of everyone, it was way to bond and experience new things ❤️ Video 4: is me attempting to contribute to the process of making shell money. It is not small work! Video 5: was visiting the village where fresh produce is bought. It’s a first come first serve. U can also buy 💨 and quro-qua. Video 6: was when walking back to the boat, everyone was loving the Nigerian tunes, then Edward says someone asked if you can dance, abegggg make I go show u my shaku shaku or in this case my azonto. Haha Video 7: was my shopping experience. I spent cashhhhh and I have jewels with a story that I can one day pass onto my grandchildren. Video 8: is me chewing on quro-qua a staple of Solomon island. It is the most commonly consumed item. It is a combo of chewing bitternut, sea coral, greens. When you chew it together it makes a red colour. It’s a hallucinogen and suppresses appetite. This is one of the main reasons why it is heavily consumed. For the chill feeling, and the fact that, when I chewed it, I felt NOOOOOO hunger for SEVERAL hours. It was crazy! But I spend too much time whitening my teeth, so I avoided it! Bc it stains heavily! This about wraps up my journey visiting the Llanga Llanga people of Solomon Islands, I’ll post a highlight soon on a throwback day, with even more enjoyable content!☄️❤️ 🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧 #picoftheday #malaita #melanesianbeauty #solomonislands #blacktravelworldwide #travelnoire #weworktotravel #mytravelcrush #mytravelcrush #travelisthenewclub #roadto100countries #nomadness #blacktravelfeed #digitalnomad #soulsociety #instatravel #travelgram #sologirltravel #natgeo #blacktraveler #melanintravel #indiantraveller #canadiantraveller #blackgirlstravel #wanderlust

. 💋 XoXo 💋 _______ #travelpicsdaily #jamaica🇯🇲 #dunnsriverfalls #blacktravelfeed @blacktravelgram #blackgirltravelslay #picbyme @goprofr #goprohero7 #gratitude🙏 #landofwoodandwater

‼️Travel Fact‼️ . . Did you know traveling improves your understanding of other cultures? 😱 . . Being more understanding and tolerant about a culture different than ours is part of being smarter, but I consider it as a benefits of traveling in itself. There is a quote by Saint Augustine, which goes “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page”. You could think of it this way: if you read what's in the news or watch the news on TV and don't question it, you're missing on a ton of information. You might think that it makes you smarter and more aware of the world, but it's the exact opposite: it narrows your mind to a unique and biased perspective. Sure, you probably feel comfortable where you are, but that is just a fraction of the world! . . If you are a student, take advantage of programs such as Erasmus to get to know more people, experience and understand their culture. Dare traveling to regions you have a skeptical opinion about. I bet that you will change your mind and realize that everything is not so bad abroad. 📍Samode Haveli 📍Saint George, Grenada 🇬🇩 📍Jinan, Zhejiang, China 🇨🇳 . . . #jetquest #blacktravel #blacktravelfeed #blacktravelmovement #blacktravelclub #blacktravelista #blacktraveljourney #blacktraveler #travel #sceneryphotography #melanin #travelfacts

Your journey will be misunderstood by many. At times your journey won’t even make sense to yourself, but trust it nonetheless. Trust the turns and blocks. The stops and dips. Our first day in Egypt was beyond amazing! I have dreamt about this day since I was a little girl. I remember learning about Egypt and the pyramids in the first grade and telling myself that I was going to go there one day. I got to see, touch, climb, and go Inside a real life pyramid. I still think I’m dreaming.😩😍♥️🇪🇬 #Cairo #pyramids #sphinx #Gizapyramids
