A German classic milchreis gone wild in New Orleans. The best dessert I've ever made, possibly best idea ever.
I started by making a coconut caramel sauce out of coconut sugar, coconut cream, and salt. Let it cool a tad.
I made some rice porridge with coconut milk, saffron, and vanilla sugar. Cook it until it's gluey.
I added vegan butter to a baking dish, added diced pineapples, and sliced bananas, then I sprinkled that with coconut sugar, and baked it.
I toasted pecans in the oven.
Then, assemble. Milchreis, banana, pineapple, caramel, and pecans.
