Stormy skies and open roads. Just eleven days ago, David and I were roaming around Arizona and Utah. We stopped here on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere passing through Nevada to find the Valley of Fire, taking turns cruising and snapping pics. Sometimes the unexpected pit stops are the most fun and silly things make the biggest memories. Right now we’re cozied up in Salem, Oregon staying with his great grandma Marie before driving up to my hometown of Seattle. There’s a soft rain falling behind the tall Douglas Fir trees and a lulling rhythm to the wind carrying it through. Life is really good when you stop and take time to find joy in the little things.
