— Did you know that the Halland farm is composed of parts from three different farms? 😊 The farmhouse was created by two different farmhouses, and barn and stables come from a third farm. It was important for the museum's founder, Bernhard Olsen, to portray a typical Swedish forest yard, so he was not afraid to build the farmhouse by putting different parts together in order to make a whole.

Ifølge myten er det i dag 800 år siden, Gud sendte Dannebrog ned fra himlen for at hjælpe danske korsfarere i Estland. 🇩🇰 / According to myth it is 800 years since God sent the Danish flag down from heaven to help Danish crusaders in Estonia. 🇩🇰 Photo by: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Per_Palmkvist_Knudsen

A few weeks ago a follower asked us what the paint color was on the door of the forge from Ørbæk.

Did you know that Fuglevad Wind Mill is the only building that’s always been at @frilandsmuseet – it has never been moved. It was already here in 1901 when the museum’s founder Bernhard Olsen moved his small building museum from the King’s Garden to Sorgenfri // Vidste du, at Fuglevad Vindmølle er den eneste bygning på @frilandsmuseet, som ikke er flyttet hertil? Møllen lå på stedet i 1901, da museets grundlægger Bernhard Olsen flyttede sit lille bygningsmuseum fra Kgs. Have ud til Sorgenfri. Photo by: Daniel Bødker Sørensen

Detail from the poor house from Greve 🕰 Did you know this building was in use until 1975 when it was moved to @frilandsmuseet where it was opened to the public in 1984. The interiors range from 1750 to 1960.
